Hi hi, welcome to my Curator Application!

Yes, second time, I used to be on the team( hi, y'all :smiling_imp: ), but got demoted due to inactivity( valid), because amino kicked me out for half a year. TA claims the issue was due to having an old device, so now that I have a new one, that shouldn't happen again for another few years

I'm 17 years old and turning 18 in June

— What is your availability & timezone? how often do you go on hiatuses etc.?

As of now, I am available all day, apart from 4pm to 10pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, as I have work during those hours. Though this may change in September as I will be starting college. My timezone is UTC+1 and I rarely go on hiatuses, though I may need a semi-hiatus in September to figure out how to combine Amino with school, but that won't take longer than 5 days.

Bear with me please, I only recently got back on Amino and am still getting used to being busy again, but so far I do have time to spend extra minutes, so no, I'm not trying to take on more than I can handle, that wouldn't be fair to you and the Amino.

I believe most I've had was a request to adjust my post because I misread guidelines, forgot something or came back after a while and was unaware the guidelines had changed. But I always just adjusted my post, because it's not that much of an effort to adjust it to the guidelines, really.

— What are your strengths and weaknesses? explain a bit!

My strength, I believe is that I( usually) am able to word my thoughts properly and am therefore quick to finish, for example, PSA's and stuff. Apart from that I think my online communicative skills are strong.

A weakness, I find that I am forgetful and may need to be reminded of a task sometimes. Planning isn't my strongest suit, so I try to get things done right away, because it'll just slip my mind otherwise.

— Do you have any past experiences being a part of a moderation team? if yes, please list how many, what role you did, and for how long you were part of the team.

Like stated previously, I've been a Curator here before. Fleur House

I picked this ment to feature, because I can tell the creator put a lot of effort into the b regards to aesthetics and making sure it looks appealing. Apart from that I think the topic is original and that it's important to small communities just as much as larger ones.

Infinity Nikki

Yet another aesthetically pleasing post. I like how they explain what Infinity Nikki is, so people that don't know what it is yet may also take interest in the game and . Apart from that they used two different links to the community( both invite and regular), which is nice in case one refreshes or doesn't work.

— People are having a fierce argument about the unfairness of some rules in a public staff chatroom, what would you do?

I would try to calm the situation down as to not involve more than already involved. Then I would explain to them that, though these are our guidelines and they go for everyone, they are always very welcome to a and ask about the purpose and reason for a rule, if done respectfully.

— Bots are spamming the community, how do you handle it?

Well, a Curator can only do so much in such a situation. I would grab the profile link and drop it in a staff chat, explaining the situation and pinging the leaders, then go to disable what I can to reduce the cleanup time once the bot is banned. I believe hiding profiles doesn't prevent posting, but do correct me if I'm wrong.

— A member comes to you and complains about the guidelines. what do you do/say?

I would listen to them, ask them why they think a rule is unfit and explain to them why we have that rule. If the member would come with an actual argument, rather than "it's annoying" or "I just don't like it", I'd share it with the team, so we can view it and see whether or not we agree.

— What are your suggestions for this community? try being detailed, it can be about anything related to this amino.

The casual posts post says "no advertising communities", which may cause confusion

I'm still in the AH wiki, while I believe I was yeeted bc of inactivity :>

Now something I really miss is maybe a reward system for making detailed ads. Something I've invented before is points and prizes. People could comment they want to participate under the post and receive a title with "0 points". Then every time they comment below with, for example "made an ad with a cover" or "made an ad with more links than just the invite" or anything else we put in there, the title will change to match the amount of points we set for s to receive at the said task. Then they could also comment stuff like "I'd like to have a custom title" or "I'd like to have my post featured" which would lead to a decrease of their points, depending on what amount of points we set for the said prize. It doesn't cost anyone anything, but it does motivate people, especially those who are new to advertising, to make posts of quality.
