Hey everyone! I'm planning on posting my award campaign later today, but I've had this idea for a while and I figured I should post it now to help amazing AGs get to 12,000 posts!
I present to you, my American Girl doll photography evolution! This will mostly be focused on Nanea, as by the time I got Kit it was over 2 years later and I had a bit more understanding of what I was doing, and I figured out how to edit photos.
Starting from the very beginning, here are the photos I took the day I got Nanea from my Opa, September 23, 2017.

Obviously in these photos I wasn't really trying, I was just documenting the day. Here are some other random photos I took between then and the photos:

Here we go... My first attempts at real photography. I didn't know anything about lighting or editing, I even used the flash on some of these. This is from October 2017, so I was 10 years old. Brace yourselves!

Lovely, right? You can probably tell her hair is messy, for a while I didn't have an AG brush and I was so worried about mes Nanea's hair that I just... didn't brush her hair for a while. Obviously that wasn't a good idea in the long run.
If you don't have an AG brush, Our generation sells identical brushes, or you can use a wet brush.
Moving on to a while where I didn't play with Nanea. You can only have so much fun with one doll, and I wasn't as into photography at the time as I was playing with her, so I just put her on my dresser and forgot about her.
That is until December 2019, when I visited my dad's best friend in Florida and got to go to the AG place Orlando! And on December 26, I picked out Kit! Here are the photos from the day I got her. Again, I wasn't really trying:

Honestly idk what I was trying to do with these, but clearly I was making something:

Moving on to some of the first actually good photos I took, they're not edited but at least they have good angles and lighting.

Some other random photos from between now and then:

Finally, my recent photos. ing Amazing AGs has taught me a lot about taking good photos, just from looking at other people's posts! Here are my personal favorites from the past few months:

So thank you, Amazing AGs! Learning from other people's photos has taught me a lot about taking and editing pictures! Take this as inspiration, no matter what your photos look like now, you can and will get better!
Keep on posting guys, we have to get to 12,000!
Thanks for reading!
