    skin like golden pastry,

   are you not the sweetest sin

this side of damnation?

Dear seraph Lacy,

eyes pale as moonlit daisies,

have I ever confessed

how deeply unwell I’ve been?

Ooh, I care—I care too much,

like the scent of you

that clings to memory.

I linger in the corners,

unseen but always near.

Ooh, I try—I try in vain,

yet you’re the flood in every vein.

You’re everywhere I look—

the softest ache, the cruelest hook.
