Hello ACA!

Today is both a sad, and a happy day for the Catalog Service. After all of the ups and downs, ing us and leaving us, all of the hard work our team has put into the giveaways and challenges throughout the years, we came to the decision that it was time to let go of the Catalog Service.

We wanted to end on a happy note, and there’s no better way to do so than a big Goodbye Giveaway, along with a couple of sweet messages from the Catalog Service team.

When New Horizons came out, a new opportunity to catalog items became a bit hit in ACA. A named JC, was looking for to help with his group, it was a free catalog service we hosted each Friday night. Overtime the demand became more and we became the first endorsement group- where we hosted at least ten visits with people bringing 9 items for others to pick up and catalog. I loved the idea, and I was glad I got to experience it. I literally had 12 3 by 3 squares on my island for three years, I never moved them. Until the service died down and we turned more into a giveaway group. I never thought I would be apart of this group though, was it a ion to help s out? Yes. And the one person who pushed me to continue was JC. One of my closest friends on this app, he continued to reach out to me asked for help and even used all my edits for everything. I was finally apart of a sweet and loving group, I met wonderful people like Mochi, Akio, serene, Raizen, Kkiki, Alex, Faery, Amelia, Lottie, Jello, Mads, and Mayor.

After Jc stepped down, Mayor and I took over cs and it was fun, I loved every minute coming up with ideas, Mayor thank you so much for putting up with me and being my rock. If it wasn’t for you, I don’t know what I would do— the group started booming again with the addition of Arlo, Heather, Karma, Shieda, and Ben. Thank you guys for continuing this group and helping everyone out with lovely blogs. It’s been a ride, Heather was amazing and just so organized and Arlo, stepped up and did spectacular work. Karma and Ben created gorgeous edits and changed the look of cs! I am so blessed to be over this group and having the privilege of meeting everyone. You are all my close friends, and memories I will cherish forever. Thank you for giving me a place to edit and share myself. I never thought I would find a group I truly deserved, and you guys made each day so much easier. There aren’t enough amino coins in the world to show you how much you all mean to me. I hope you all go on and do amazing things, our home might be retiring but our friendship will last a lifetime. And I love you all and I appreciate everything! Let’s continue to make aca great and who knows we’ll one day find ourselves helping in other groups. Love you guys, and I love you Niko and the catalog service. The start of my era and the ground zero of my ion to help others in a way I could not possibly imagine. Thank you s of aca for letting us continue and share this group with you.

What a ride it’s been!

I first ing the Catalog Service, Angel and Mayor were the first people on the team I talked to, and they were so sweet, I knew I was in a group where I felt comfortable and happy all thanks to the people surrounding me. Over my time in the group people came and left but every single person put so much effort into the blogs, it was amazing to see everyone working together and talking.

I ed the team on the 24th of July, 2022, which was quite a while ago! It’s definitely sad to see the end of the Catalog Service, but I’m glad that I was along for the ride, especially with all of the amazing people I’ve met and worked with over the years.

I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone on the team for making me feel at home, and to all of the ACA who participated in our posts in the past.

I’ll see you around!

Hey, ACA, Catalog Service and possible aliens screening the human internet. It’s finally time for Catalog Service to sunset, after a long and beautiful time on this Amino. Honestly, it doesn’t feel quite real - I love this group and its dearly and I couldn’t quite believe that it was ending when it was first announced. Life has a funny way of throwing fastballs like this when you least expect it. That’s why you need to make the most of what you have when you actually have it. Love it, appreciate it, be thankful for it. And I guess today I just want to express that.

For me the earliest CS blog I editing for is the Forever Friends Giveaway, a 2023 relic back when I was learning to love editing and art again. CS has done so much not just for ACA and the community’s that it pains me greatly to have to say goodbye, but at least I can confidently  thank CS for a few things. Thank you CS for contributing wonderful blogs, challenges, edits, gifts and giveaways to the community. And thank you to the CS staff who worked so hard to keep things running smoothly, even in the face of their own very busy lives.

I want to specifically shout out two wonderful people, Arlo. Without them and their tireless efforts and wonderful leadership, CS would not have only crumbled but lost the breath of life and love they constantly breathed into the group.

Truely, thank you Angel for going Plus Ultra - those of ACA who haven’t had the pleasure of working with this person absolutely fail to see the amount of effort and care they put into all their work. They are one of the most dedicated and talented individuals to grace ACA, and they deserve to be commended for it. If you guys ever see Angel around, don’t be scared to say hello and have a conversation. Despite the fact they end their messages with periods (oooh, scary grammar) they are one of the loveliest people who is always willing to help others.

Of course, Arlo, I couldn’t forget you. Just as hard working as Angel, you always offered your best efforts to the group and put up with us who may have went past a few deadlines (cough *me and Karma*). Always compiling everything to post and scrolling up through our unrelated yapping sessions, that should have definitely been taken to the general chat… Thank you. Arlo, thank you for always being so positive and kind, I so many times where I have sent edits to the chat unsure of myself and you have made me feel so much more confident and happy with my works. Thank you.

And I can’t forget how you and Angel have come up with some of the most fun and creative posts for the group - you guys are truely an inspiration and I am so grateful not only to have worked with CS but to have edited for the two of you. Of course, every other CS member is just as talented and kind, and I want to thank them as well. Many of you I have had some wonderful conversations with and I am glad to be able to call you colleagues but also friends.

CS was never just a group or a side hobby for me, it was something I loved - CS reignited my ion for editing and gave me the motivation to keep coming back to ACA and Amino many, many times. Even with those awful bugs, some being especially egregious that I couldn’t even scroll up in chat to check work assignments… Haha.

At the end of the day, I think CS has taught me so much and that’s what I am most thankful for. But I know a lot of ACA will be thankful for their giveaways and challenges, and while I was just an editor behind the scenes, I’m glad others have also found reasons to miss CS as much as I will. Even if it’s because they can’t farm some Wheat Fields. Lol.

Let the Catalog Service’s end be a start to something new, and not just a goodbye. I hope it can signify something more important, a message that’s been on my mind lately. Enjoy every last bit of time you can get doing the things you love with the people who are there for you and put just as much time and effort into their ions; that way you’ll never feel like a day has been wasted. And when it finally does end, like CS is, hopefully you can feel just as l do. Proud, happy, and comfortable in sending it off. Because I know each CS member did their best and had a damn good time doing it.

I hope each of our messages and this blog will show ACA’s how worthwhile it will be to start a group, make new friends, and make content on ACA, no matter how big or small or how serious or silly it may be. Maybe this is a new beginning for some of you. Goodluck everyone… I’ll see you around on New Horizons.

the catalog service holds a special place in my heart that no other -endorsed group does.. did you all know that the catalog service was the very first endorsed group? cs was one of the bigger and more popular groups back then, and it's crazy to see how much they've done for aca over the years! jc, the group's founder, did such an awesome job creating this group and helping so many people. although the newer community may not have been here for when this group was thriving, i hope everyone is still able to appreciate the time and work every past and current member of the group has put into brainstorming and writing posts, editing for the blogs, and, most importantly, making sure every request is completed to the best of their abilities. thank you, catalog service, and all your !! we'll all miss seeing you on the feed ♡

not really sure what to say here so I'll keep it short ! I first ed the catalog service over three years ago and, although I magically disappeared for a while, it was great to be back. no matter what comes in the future the group and all it's (excluding Arlo /j) will always hold a special place in my heart and I'm grateful for all of you.

I would like to say thank you for everyone utilizing this service, and am overjoyed how it's flourished over the years. I starting this service as an one shot idea to help animal crossing players expand their cata New Horizons. Not at all did I anticipate for it to blow up the way it did back in 2020. I have so many fond memories of the catalog events we hosted; all the enjoyment of seeing returning customers, building friendships, helping the community, and of course the multiple crash outs due to Nintendo's online service being.. not amazing haha.

Of course, I was fortunate enough to have an amazing staff who put their all into the services we provided. So, special thanks to everyone who was a part of the service during the time when I was running it. I love you all so so much <3. And of course, to any who ed after my retirement, I am beyond grateful for y'all continuing its legacy. But, of course, I mostly couldn't of done any of it if it weren't for Angel. She put her absolute ALL into the Catalog Service (really anything she does, honestly), and will forever have gratitude towards her commitment. Hence, why it was obvious I ed the Catalog Service down to her when I stepped down as the owner. Angel, you've done an amazing job running the Catalog Service since my retirement. Your generosity towards everyone has always made you stand out, and I'm so grateful for you. I may have laid the foundation for the service, but your contributions built it up. So, really, I never considered the service to be *solely* mine. Truly, you're the absolute best and I love you wholeheartedly.

All good things must come to an end, though. Although I'm saddened of the Catalog Service's end, I'll never forget the memories made during it's time. The Catalog Service had an amazing four (almost five) year run. This may be goodbye to the end of an era, but this isn't a goodbye to the memories made :heart: .

I’m Mayor, and I was a part of the Catalog Service for a few years! That’s crazy to say.

I stepped away on a hiatus in October of 2023, and ultimately got locked out of my Amino (which was devastating). My life outside of the internet has changed so much, (which was actually the reason for my departure) but what has remained constant is my love for this group of people.

Being a part of this group was my ticket to making wonderful friends on Amino. Working to make fun events, useful giveaways, and interesting challenges always gave me a reason to socialize, and honestly I probably never would’ve come out of my shell if it wasn’t for that!

Even though I’ve stepped away from Amino, the memories of working with Angel, Heather, Arlo, Karma, and many more will always be ones that I cherish. The Catalog Service was an integral part of ACA for such a long time, and even though it’s disbanding, I truly believe that ACA will always appreciate what the Catalog Service did for this community. :green_heart:

With that being said, we have loved every moment working together to bring ACA some of the best giveaways and challenges they have ever seen. Hopefully ACA doesn’t miss us too much, we know the Catalog Service team definitely will miss the group, but all good things must come to an end.
