RoG Corruption Event Results

Victory

The troops of the Heathens and Legion have successfully fought off the Corrupted in the Desert Dunes!

The whole Dunes were filled with:

Eraged Trike (Corrupted - Extinction)

Deathworm (Corrupted - Extinction)

Dimorph (Corrupted - Extinction)

Giga (Corrupted - Extinction)

Ptera (Corrupted - Extinction)

Purlovia (Aberration)

Raptor

Kaprosuchus

Reaper (Corrupted - Extinction)

Giga

RockDrake (Corrupted - Extinction)

Spino (Corrupted - Extinction)

The Corrupted were also boosted so they do 10 times more dmg and take 10 times less dmg.

So if normally you would do 2000dmg to a creature, it will be 200dmg to our corrupted,

this while the Corrupted Giga does 20000dmg per bite to you.

The Corrupted Reaper spit at you, making your flyer land, then they jump on you.

The ones you see nearby, but also the ones that hide underground, like Corrupted Reapers, Corrupted Deathworms, Purlovia, and cloacked Corrupted Rockdrakes, all lay in wait to ambush you. And if you get an Enraged Trike in the mix, well they give all Corrupted nearby a big buff, making them a lot stronger.

It's easy to get overwelmed in the Corrupted Dunes.

The mission

During the 2 weeks of the Corruption Event had to gather as many Corrupted Hearts as they could.

Halfway through a 2nd part was announced,

on top of the Corrupted Hearts they also had to gather as many Snowglobes, which only dropped during the 2nd week and only by Corrupted Gigas.

To make it tricky, the Corrupted Giga also dropped 1000 Massive Poops and 1000 Waterwells, sure to stop you in your tracks if you looted all in a rush, verry hostile enviourment, so a mistake is easily made, and in the Corrupted Dunes a mistake is deadly.

So the grand winners are the Heathens for both the Corrupted Heart and Snowglobe part of the event.

For the Corrupted Hearts the Heathens gets:

                         10000 gunpowder

                         10000 ingots

                           1000 Element

                           1000 Feathers

                               50 Cryopods

And for the Snowglobes the Heathens gets:

                         10000 Element Shards

                         10000 Hard Polymer

                          10000 Cementing Paste

                           1000 Feathers

                               50 Cryopods

Don't forget that the Corruption Event is always super hard.

Ppl that go in on their strongest mount always die quickly, loosing their best tame.

I kept saying that they should treat this as a hard boss battle, meaning they should go with several ppl in group, and with about 20 strong Rexes.

Ppl go in way too small groups with far too few dinos, but non the less they scored a decent amount.

This is one of my favourite events to run.

Only setup requierd from me is the Dunes Spawn list code, dmg&resistance multipliers for each species, and custom loot for those species, but after that it's good to go for the 2 week event, which is far less effort than our normal battle events which takes us s weeks to set up for an event that lasts a day.

But the main reason i love the Corruption Event is because it's hard but not impossible.

It's so hard that a single player on a single mount will never get a high score.

It forces ppl to work together, to build strategies, and to think fast during combat.

It also presents a list that shows who did well in this competition, those brave enough to participate and clever enough to work together.

These events took place on the

Realm of Gods (PS4 Server)

on Ragnarok.
