Today I'm here to talk about something that we've been thinking for a long time.

Lately we've had some problems in the community with some and we'd like to talk about something that happened not just with them but in general.

ʀᴇsᴘᴇᴄᴛ

As you already know, leaders and curators of every community can do more things than a normal member such as disabling posts or chats, feature posts, etc. But, even if leaderteam are here to check the community, we're also normal and we want to be treated the same way as you would treat your friend.

We also have feelings and we also get hurt with people's comments or actions. The thing is that if you want to treat us as normal treat us with the respect we deserve as well as every member of this community.

ʟᴇᴀᴅᴇʀᴛᴇᴀᴍ ᴊᴏʙ ᴀɴᴅ ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴜɴɪᴛʏ ɢᴜɪᴅᴇʟɪɴᴇs

Leaderteam tries to keep you safe from anything that happen here such as bullying, hackers, etc. Our job is not as easy as you may think, overall when the community we lead is as big as this one.

Believe me, we try to do our best when dealing with some kind of situations and sometimes we also do things we shouldn't because we're human and we make mistakes.

You may think that we dictate rules here because we're so strict when it comes to obey the guidelines but my question is, do you think that letting things be would be better than taking action?

You might see that we apply guidelines in a very strict way but that's the only thing we know to keep you all safe. We try to maintain this community friendly for everybody because there are people from all ages, this means that certain content is not allowed and that's why we are so strict when it comes to talk about some things in the group chat or post some kind of memes.

We wrote the community guidelines for something, we wrote them and we tried to specify on every topic we mentioned so there wouldn't be confusions on the points. We haven't done them to make the community more beautiful but to follow them and we'd like you to check them before doing something against them.

ʙᴇʜᴀᴠɪᴏᴜʀ

Leaderteam is expected to behave well and be respectful with every member.

But my question is, why should we behave well when some don't?

Leaders and curators try to be as respectful as we can, we have to behave well which means that we can not swear, curse or be ironic or sarcastic to you.

Why?

Because we're the leaderteam.

I don't see this fair at all. Of course we should behave well but, it's difficult to try to be calmed with someone who is being rude to you, isn't it?

As I said before, we are humans who make mistakes, that's why we may sometimes lose a little bit our temper.

What I mean is that we try our best to improve this community, we try to make everybody feel comfortable and keep a good atmosphere in the community but sometimes it is hard for us as well, that's why we also would like to be respected as much as we respect all of you.

ʙᴀɴ, sᴛʀɪᴋᴇ ᴏʀ ᴅɪsᴀʙʟᴇ

We sometimes take moderation actions against all those who don't obey the guidelines and it's not something we love doing but something we find necessary to keep the community under control.

The thing is, some don't take this in a good way and some of them come to tell us why we make one thing or another. Well, as I said before, we have our reasons to do that and we don't mind if you ever come to us to know why your post was taken down as long as you always ask us in a good way.

Before striking or banning someone, leaderteam give the person another chance. We always warn before strike and strike before banning someone. This means that every single person that has been ban from the community, has had another chance to change things unless they have break the guidelines in lots of ways. Apart from our warning messages, you have the guidelines where you are able to find everything that you can and can not do here.

Banning someone is not something we like doing everyday, is not something we do for fun. When we ban someone is because we had a reason to do it.

When someone gets banned from here it's because he / she has broken the guidelines or because he / she has been warned or striked multiple times before being banned.

ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴍᴀᴋᴇs ᴜs ɢᴏᴏᴅ ʟᴇᴀᴅᴇʀs

Well, I believe that everybody has its own opinion about the leaders and I understand that some of you will like us and the way we do some things and some others won't.

As I mentioned before, we try to manage things as well as we can and I believe that the fact that we apply guidelines strictly doesn't mean we're bad. We get worried about you and we don't want you to have problems in this community sine we created this community to have fun and meet new people.

We do care about you and that's why we do things this way.

Of course that it's up to you think as good or bad people but I just wanted to defend ourselves and explain you why we act as we do.
