Eris

The next deity is Eris, goddess of discord and strife.

She is quick to anger, much like her brother and companion Ares. She is most well known for throwing her golden apple of discord among the guests of a party she wasn't invited to due to her temper. The apple had the text 'For the most beautiful' engraved in it and immediately an argument started between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. Zeus decided to let the mortal Paris decide who the apple should belong to and he picked Aphrodite who promised him the most beautiful mortal woman in return. Since his bride was already married he stole her away to the city of Troy, dooming it.
