Realistic portrait as a practice for a friend's dog, her name is Camila.
Originally I was going to draw it in perspective, like the original photo, but it wasn't understood well and it looked more like a Pomeranian xb and I think it looks more :sparkles: aesthetic :sparkles: like that.
It took me forever because I wanted to have everything as neat as possible but I think it was worth it, if it's not obvious I get a lot of inspiration from Assovi and REYKAT for this style of painting.
The reason I like it a lot is because I feel like it's a lot simpler than how I usually paint fur, since I can use longer brush strokes without worrying about it looking too realistic and I can concentrate more on the aesthetics.
With that said I feel like it takes me about the same amount of time, although I think this style looks better than the one I currently use lol

You are so talented. I can't imagine how much practice you need for this kind of work. :sparkles: :sparkles: :sparkles:
In my experience, it was a lot of experimenting with fur brushes until I managed to understand how to paint it realistically on animals, following volume and light.
Because one thing is to practice the fur/hair texture with the brushes, and another to make it look realistic and follow the shape of the animal.
And well, it is always good to keep experimenting, to see which technique looks better ^^
AWWWW SHE IS SO CUTEEEE
