Hello everyone! I am currently on the look out for someone who could possibly assist me as I create my character. I have some stuff written out and have a hard time figuring out what she could possibly look like. I'd love to commission a character designer but I am currently too broke for that :") Any help is appreciated!!
Character Information
NAME
Vinca, named after the flower, delicate yet persistent.
CORE CONCEPT
Vinca is a soft, quiet entity stitched together from dreams and emotions.
She was created to bring comfort, but over time, the dreams she held have leaked out. Now she feels hollow, sleepy, and scared, but still wants to protect others. When overwhelmed, she doesn’t become angry, she begins to unravel. Her “beast form” is a manifestation of emotional overflow, where her seams split and what’s inside begins to leak out.
PERSONALITY
-Gentle, quiet, emotionally sensitive
-Deeply protective of others, even when she's scared herself
-Easily overwhelmed but masks it with stillness
-Doesn't want to hurt anyone, even in her beast form
-Finds comfort in soft things: pillows, blankets, dim lights, plushies
-She feels broken but holds on for the sake of others
VISUAL DESIGN
Dormant Form (Main Look)
-Body: Looks soft, almost fabric-like, with visible stitching along arms, collarbones, and legs
-Eyes: Purple, glassy, resembling plush safety eyes but expressive
-Skin: Soft beige with a subtle woven texture
-Hair: Long wavy, messy, gently floating, possibly gradient-tipped or stitched at the ends
-Clothing: Oversized, cozy sweater, sleeves slightly too long, barefoot or in socks
-Vibe: Sleepy, fragile, comforting with an eerie stillness
Beast Form
-Mouth: Unnaturally splits downward with faint thread-holds, void interior
-Eyes: Wide, with pupils fading or warping. May weep void threadlike tears
-Body: Seams glow and appear to slowly unravel, threads drifting like fog
-Movement: Slow, unstable, but protective rather than hostile
-Vibe: Soft horror, more sorrowful than scary
LORE TONE
She’s a guardian born of dreams, stitched together to watch over sleepers.
But those dreams faded, or turned bad, and she was left with the echoes.
She still watches. Still protects. Even if it tears her apart.
