Mixed Signals

I know some may think this is an exaggeration, but it's true!

My mother would unleash her anger on the kids when we did something wrong, and no more than five minutes later, she was offering to take us out for ice cream! :icecream:

I've always wondered if, once she calmed down, realized she had taken too much of her anger out on us, and she wanted to do something nice to make up for it.

For the kids, though, it just gave us mixed signals! 🙃
