Thalassophobia

For a long time I have been afraid of anywhere that was so big I couldn't get a grasp of where I was, such as being on a boat or in a room so large and empty I felt like I was being swallowed up (I must say a very small room doesn't make me feel pleasant either).

However, the thing that makes me the most afraid is the fact the further you go the less you can see, you never know what is there, but most of all you don't know what else can see you. Something as large as the sea or very dark waters make me feel like I'm not alone, and I don't mean making friends, it is dark after all.
