Tiny Art Challenge

Greetings and Salutations!

I ultimately decided to challenge myself to follow a tutorial with acrylic paint instead of the desired oils and only use a pallet knife as a tool.

It's safe to say- it was a complete disaster. Not only did the paint dry up unnecessarily fast but the overall size of the canvas was difficult to work with. Despite of this, for the materials I had available, I am pleased with the mess of an artwork I have created. Unfortunately I do not what season or episode I followed.

Materials for the horrendous miniature painting-

- Canvas knife

- Acrylic paint

- 2.5 x 2.5 inch canvas

Time taken- Approximately 45 minutes

Now for the big boy...

This time I decided to get serious and seek out the necessary tools needed to create an accurate painting. Thanks to the help of fellow community we randomly picked an episode, Season 7 episode 9.

Materials used-

- Various paint brushes

- Oil paints

- Large Canvas

- Pallet Knives

- A bucket of tears

- Steve Ross

Time spent- Approximately 2 hours

To conclude, I had a pleasure doing this assignment and it pushed me out of my comfort zone. Never in my life have I imagined that I would be touching paint as it was definitely not a material I excelled at. Nonetheless, I am happy with the results ;)
