That is your check in streak bar. You can get bonus reputation for each day you check in , up to an 11 day streak (+ 10 rep )

Leaders and Curators are the ones who decides which gets featured and which does not. Think of it as something like dictatorship.
Nominating a blog through the Front Page Suggestion gives it a higher chance to get featured.
Swipe to the left edge of the app and click on the icon with a crown labeled “Leaders” to check who the leaders and curators are.
Mmh.. ing public chats and conversing frequently, posting often(especially commenting), getting your blogs featured, having a leisure chat with others on their profile or yours, are ones I can only think of to get known more here.
