For the contest the squad Art Array made, I choose the person, the rose and the monster.
I choose this one because I really liked the sketch, the idea behind it and the Creature in the background looks really cool.

And the monster reminds me of a figurine I had when I was younger, I think it was called «trash figurines» (?) They looked somewhat creepy, but I really liked them. Its probably not the same creature though-
My critique:
The colors doesn’t really flow well together. The bright green background is distracting for the eye and the green creature gets lost in it. The line work on the flower, clothes and the creature doesn’t show well. It almost looks unfinished.
Around the hair you put green, making also the hair vanish in the background.
The person doesn’t really seem to have much expression on their face, so I am unsure what is really going on it that picture. Is it sadness, fright, relaxed?
On the positive side:
I must say that even though the face doesn’t have much expression, I actually love it. I love how well you drew the nose and the lips. I think this character, with that expression would look really well alone in another picture. With maybe a darker background, holding a rose close to them, without the green in the hair.
I think you have a lot of potential as an artist, just looking at the sketch and lines before you added the colors!
I also really liked how you drew the creature and his hand, I wanted to keep that in my drawing.
Why I drew it like this:
For the background I didn’t want to have that bright green in there, so I added a darker green and some roses. That way it will match the rose she is holding.
For the creature i didn’t change much about it, I gave him white claws and white teeth because it would match better with his huge eyes.
The eyes has a lot of white in it, So I wanted to add some colors in it. I added a yellow and a red tone, to match the hat he is wearing and the roses in the background.
I did the same for the girl, I opened her eyes and made her match the creature.
The reason why I added her hand in the picture is because of the creatures claw. I made her to have claw like nails because of the already sharp theme in the picture; claw, thorns and teeth.
Since the claw is over her head, I made it so her hand would be on the other side, framing her face.
To make the picture more eye-catching I made the hair on my character a bit longer and made it flow around the picture.
Then I made the single rose very long, turning around both the girl and the creature to again frame the picture.
I made her have a mysterious smile on her face and looking straight at us, so it looks like the picture is telling a story.
