The two of them spent most of the rest of the day just laying together, on the couch not the kitchen floor, and kissing or whatever couples do. But it’s not sunshine and rainbows all the time, Broken still saw Fake Remus’ smooshed up face all over the place. Since I’m willing to be nice just this once Real Remus always comforted him whenever he looked a little spooked.

Around dinner time they got ready to go out on their little date. Broken didn’t dress like he’d stumbled out of a hot topic for once, and actually agreed to lose the jacket. Well he still brought it but Remus wasn’t going to let him wear it in the restaurant. Broken cleans up nice believe it or not, he wore a nice button down and his one singular pair of non-ripped pants. Yes Remus picked his outfit why do you ask.

Remus changed into something nicer than he usually wore, just a dress shirt and fancy pants. I need to work on describing outfits better huh. Broken fed the dogs then helped take Remus out to the truck, spending way longer than he needed to trying to fit the chair in the backseat. “Damn things too fuckin’..” he grumbled.

Remus smiled and watched him in the rearview mirror. “It’s foldable dear.” He stopped and looked at the front seat. “It’s what now..?” “Pull this.” He reached back and flicked something on the chair, making it fold up neatly. Broken sighed and closed the door, walking around to the drivers side to hop in. “I need coffee, a cigarette and another nap..”

They drove down to the restaurant they went to on their first date. I’m sentimental mind your business. Broken struggled getting the chair to unfold again, then helped Remus sit down without falling out of the truck. He smiled and kissed the top of his head, helping him roll up to the front door. “You wanna get a table where you c’n sit in your chair..? Or do you want like a normal booth..?”
