Damasu, Trickster Fox (SOSsquad Egg Challenge)

I was really hoping I would get this egg, and I did! Which was really lucky for me since I already knew what I wanted to do. Sorta. The idea of the kitsune not wearing the mask and their human disguise being a little girl came later. But I’m really happy with how it came out and I’m glad I participated in this challenge! It was lots of fun and I would’ve drawn more if I had the time!

The cunning young kitsune, Damasu, takes on the (flawed) form of a young human, called Toshiko, to fool other humans into offering them money, food, and other luxuries. They exist only to spread deceit and cause chaos. However, their youth makes them mess up small things in their disguise (for example, Toshiko’s massive forehead), and it is fairly easy to get them to break their act. Once caught, the kitsune transforms back into their fox form, and attempts to run away with their stolen goods (although the scrapes on the kitsune makes it clear that they are not always successful).
