:wolf: Redraw challenge :wolf:

🌦 Hello hello you lovely people! *˙︶˙*)ﾉ

🌦 As soon as I saw this challenge I knew that I MUST in! .. I just love redrawing things again and again to see how much I progressed and most importantly, finally be able to draw exactly what I had in mind! (Cause usually I dont have enough skill eheh..)

🌦 So for this redraw I decided to chose someone I haven't drawn in a long time but would love to draw again! And this oc turned out to be Kentarou! ٩(｡•ω•｡)و :sparkling_heart:

🌦 Next I needed to chose the drawing and at first I hesitated with my first digital of him but then I ed that while making my commission site I found a gif of him that I still loved but it had aged badly and stood out too much compared to my current art style, sooooo this last choice ended up being my redraw material! (╭☞´ิ∀´ิ)╭☞ :sparkles:

☆☆ Critique ☆☆

🌦 First of all, I had no idea how to draw his pose so I copied it from a photo without giving it a second thought.. A terrible mistake since mindlessly doing that not only doesn't teach you anything but also it's not adapted to the character's body type (oh how many times have I seen people drawing guys from pics of women and forgetting that the breast shadows are not supposed to be there..(∩´﹏`∩) )

Second of all the eyes! That cutesy eye type and sparkles are not made for this character, he is supposed to have wolf like characteristics and have a mostly either bored or slightly amused look, plus I had no idea how to draw other eyeshapes beside this one

Third of all the hair! I had no idea how a scalp works so I just drew hair strands (is it the right word?) all over the place

Lastly I would like to point out the fact that the wolf ears are wery much misplaced, the absence of strong shadows despite having the chacter close to a window, the human ear being ridiculously small, and finally my sad inability of drawing a face from that angle

☆☆Analysis ☆☆

🌦 First I changed the perspective of the drawing instead of following the one of the picture (that picture wasn't used this time )

Then I changed his eyeshape to one that is more suitable for him, I also added strong shadows and even some red light coming from the reflection of the coke can

I also made his hair more soft and following the shape of his head, and the wolf ears were placed correctly this time

Shadows coming from the leafs were added and the scenery seen from the window ended up being more detailed and not transformed into a blur like last time

Unlike the first time, I did not gave up the animation of the curtains and even if I never did it before and kinda went for it randomly I still love the result (ﾉ)'ω`(ヾ) :two_hearts: And yes I also animated the ear because it was fun

The whole drawing has also a big blue undertone for the rainy ambiance and since colors are a big struggle for me, I hope I'll get even better at them in the future !

As for the anatomy, I didn't use any particular reference for it so I'm really happy with my progress (even if it was a bit hard sometimes eheh (∩´﹏`∩))
