✧*̥˚    ! Introduce Yourself !     *̥˚✧

╔══════•༺●༻•══════╗

As I mentioned before, my name is Harakee! I also go by Hara. I am an alternative 25 year old lady that enjoys creating stories and characters! Artwork is my main ion in life but I also enjoy writing as a hobby and for fun. I listen to a lot of rock music and I would do anything for my cat.

✧*̥˚     Why Would You Like To      *̥˚✧

╔══════•༺●༻•══════╗

I'm already a part of one Squad (Art Array) and I wanted to be able to expand a bit more! And as I mentioned before, I really love creating stories and characters. I used to write a lot as a young teen but fell out of it. I figured not only could Writers Den not only help me to improve my writing skills but also my story creating skills. I also love being able to bounce my ideas off of other people so it would be so much fun to not only have others help with what I am writing, but to also help others with what they're writing. Character and story building is a lot of work so I'd like to help others who might be struggling as well! ^v^

STORIES

CHARACTERS

DRAMA

ROMANCE

lol no I was always an avid reader when I was younger. Combining my love for reading and my love for art, creating characters and writing was a natural next step. Both writing and creating comics was something I constantly did as a teenager.

And fanfics

I was also very involved in the online art community so I was constantly fed other peoples characters and stories. Nowadays, I love critiquing movies, animations, books, comics, you name it. Story writing and character development are fun to explore and understand. And with my desire to create my own comic (The characters used in my original story below are in this comic >o>) I look forward to writing again to flesh out this story and its characters. Writing may be more of a hobby/method to create my comics, but it's still fun regardless if I'm good at writing or not.

✧*̥˚    Original Story    *̥˚✧

╔══════•༺●༻•══════╗

A tall, skinny man with raven hair, one icey blue eye, and one gold eye walked along the mountain path “I must be close” he muttered to himself as he looked at the messily written instructions on a scrap piece of parchment paper. “Honestly, this is hardly legible…” He grunted out a sigh and put the parchment away in his cloak. When he looked up the warm brightness of the sun temporarily blinded him as he reached the top of the path. His eyes took a moment to adjust to the brightness and he was met with the sun nestling atop of the clouds just over the edge of the cliff. “I guess here will do for tonight.”

After he made a fire with his magic he sat down on the dusty ground. Fatigue had caught up to his body but his mind raced too much to sleep. The man knew nothing about his own life, where he was from, or even who he was. He grew desperate for answers but had no clues, not even knowing his own name. When he ed through the small village, he was informed of a witch who lived in a cave at the top of the mountain who used clairvoyant magic. He didn’t even know if this trip to the top of the mountain was worth it but what else could he do?

He reached into his cloak and took out the one piece of evidence that could connect him to his unknown past, a gold pocket watch. It was rather plain looking, the edges of the watch were worn down from excessive use, and some dents and scratches decorated the metal. You wouldn’t guess that it was a treasured item if it weren’t for the words etched on the inside cover.

“To my true love and light of my life”

“What sort of comforting life did I leave behind?” He asked himself. The glow of the remaining sunlight quickly faded as night fell and only the cackling fire provided light. His chest tightened and he shoved the watch back into his cloak. He wrapped himself in his blankets and finally laid on the ground to drift into sleep. He hoped the witch at the top of the mountains could answer his questions, reach into his past, and give him any sort of clue on who he was.

Dawn came faster than he wanted. He snuffed out last nights fire and continued along the path. His legs ached from all the walking he did in the past few days. The mountain wasn’t as tall as most but it was still an exhausting task. Regardless, he carried on the trail as it became dense with trees. At the very least he could ire the beauty the mountain provided. He could tell he was nearing the top as he hoped he could make it before sunset tonight.

After hours of walking, trying to decipher the terrible directions on the parchment paper, and scaling the mountain, he saw in the distance a small cave. Adrenaline pumped through his body as he dashed towards the entrance. *This is it!* He thought. He ignored the soreness in his legs and the burning in his lungs so he could reach the cave sooner. So he could reach his answers sooner.

He stopped at the entrance of the cave as his lungs demanded oxygen. He peered in to find obvious signs of life as pillows, artworks, and various other decorations were laid out in the cave. He could hear his heart pounding in his ears, his arms and legs were shaking, and despite his previous impatience to get to the cave, he found himself frozen in place. Then he felt a light tap at his ankle that caused him to jump out of his skin.

“Oh! Hello dear, why are you just standing there?” A gravelly old voice spoke.

He put together the pieces that he was tapped with a walking stick by an obviously blind older woman as she tapped her way ed him and into her home. He straightened himself up, embarrassed that he lost his composure. “Are you the witch that was gifted with clairvoyance magic?”

“My!” She chuckled “Not even a hello? Young folk these days have no manners.” He opened his mouth but didn’t quite know how to reply. She walked to a large section in the cave where the center was a fire pit and the surrounding ground was covered in many blankets and pillows “Well? Come over here and help your elder sit down.” She demanded. He blinked for a moment and with a sigh he walked to the old witch to offer his arm and help her down. “Don’t give someone sass when they offer to help you.” She groaned as she sat down.

“I didn’t say anything, and you haven’t even offered me any help. In fact, you didn’t even answer my question.” He retorted.

“And you haven’t even given a simple hello” She said a-matter-of-factly. He sat on the other side of the pit and let out a small “Hello-“ “-Yes” She cut him off “I am the witch you seek. And I understand you use fire magic. I don’t think I need to instruct you further, do I?” He rolled his eyes *This old lady has a sharp tongue..* He lifted his hand and breathed into the palm of it. A small flame erupted in his palm and he threw it onto the wood.

“So you already can sense the type of magic I use?” He asked.

“Of course, you ninny. And I know you only recently received the gift of magic..” She paused “But you don’t know how.” She leaned back slightly as she started to see the larger picture “Very interesting…”

His heart started to race in his chest as he realized this witch might be able to help him “Please. I have no memories.” He looked down at his hands that rest in his lap “I woke one day on a fishing boat. I didn’t know who I was. The crew didn’t know who I was or where I came from.” He reached into his cloak to retrieve the pocket watch “I know nothing. I nothing.” He clenched the watch in his hands.

“Let me have it” The old witch reached her hand out. He was hesitant but ed the watch to her. She threw the watch into the fire. “Hey!-“ She held her hand up to him to stop him from trying to retrieve it “I know what I’m doing.” She stated simply. He stared into the fire to see black smoke pouring from it like a liquid. It enveloped the old witch. Not even a minute ed before the smoke dissipated, the fire went out, and the watch laid in the soot unharmed. He reached his hand out and picked up the watch. It was cool to the touch despite being tossed in a fire.

“I’m sorry, young one.” The old witch sighed “I could not see your past. There seems to be a force that is preventing me from looking.” If the old witch still had her sight she would see a dejected man sitting across from her. “This may or may not be the reason, but given you have only just received the gift of fire magic, it is highly likely the sacrifice the magic wanted you to make was to give up your memories.”

He shook his head as he stared at his watch “But why?” his voice started to crack at not being able to get the answers he was looking for “There was someone willing to call me the light of their life. Why would I choose to leave that behind?” He buried his face into his hands.

“Oh, come now.” The old witch muttered“ I couldn’t see your past, but that doesn’t mean I received nothing.”

He quickly looked up from his hands “What?! What did you receive?” He asked desperately. He hated showing this side of himself. A desperate man grasping at any sign of hope. But that’s just what he was.

“It wasn’t much. But I was able to see a man with red hair by the name of Semta who also uses fire magic. There is a large possibility he was the one to open the gates for you to receive your fire magic.” She stated “Unfortunately, that was all I was given.”

The man let go of the breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “That was more than I had previously. Thank you elder.” His voice was shaking slightly. This was the first breakthrough he’s had since he woke up on the fishing boat. For the first time he has a clue.

The old witch could even feel her cold heart warm up to his vulnerable state “Sleep here.” She tapped her walking stick lightly on the cushions he sat on. “Get some rest before your trek backdown the mountain tomorrow.” He didn’t question it. He laid his head on one of the many pillows and pulled a blanket over him. He closed his eyes, hands still clutched onto the gold pocket watch for comfort.

“Kazmere”

His eyes shot open “What?”

“Your name, dear. Your name is Kazmere.”
