Déjà vu (Ateez Fan fiction - prologue)

"Are you excited? I can't believe you'll get to work with them" my friend said as she bounced around the room. Excitement laced in her voice. Me? I wasn't so excited. Don't get me wrong, this is a big thing for me. The only problem is I felt like I've met them before. That was something that I couldn't wrap my head around.

"I mean…I wish I was"

"What? You should be excited. This is Ateez we're talking about here! They're one of my favourite groups and you get to work with them. What's not exciting about that?" My friend sat next to me on my bed. I looked down.

"Look, I'm not sure how I feel. Something feels like…I don't know. It's hard to explain. Maybe it could just be nerves"

"There's nothing to be nervous about. I'm sure once you get the first day done, you'll be fine" she tapped my knee in reassurance. I half smiled, still not believing what she said to me.

The next day, I parked my car in the car park. Taking a deep breath, something felt so familiar. I felt like I've been here before but surely I couldn't have been. There's no way I was. I sucked it up and grabbed my bag before getting out of the car. Locking it, I walked to the building. Walking inside, I went to the reception desk. The worker smiled and something still didn't feel right.

"Hi, I'm Y/L/N Y/N and I've come to work with Ateez?" Why did I say it in a question and why did it feel like I've said this before?

"Ah, yes. They're in the studio. Most likely it'll be Hongjoong at the moment. You'll be helping them on their new album. Just walk down the corridor and go to studio 7" the receptionist said. I smiled and thanked them. Walking down the corridors felt so familiar. Something just didn't feel right. Have I been here before? I reached studio 7 and knocked on the door. After a few seconds, the door opened. It was at that moment I felt a sense of deja vu.

"Y/N?"
