Hello all you amazing !

Have you ever wanted to cosplay a specific character, but their eyebrows are really thin? For example, Levi or Mikasa. Ever wondered how you can hide your eyebrows so that you can cosplay these characters? Well, I am about to show you how! Welcome to my tutorial on how to cover your eyebrows!

Let’s start with what you will need.

This is all the equipment you will need:

> Foundation in your skin colour (I used Rimmel London 100 Ivory) and a foundation sponge

> Powder (I used Rimmel London Stay Matte 001 Transparent)

> Flat headed makeup brush (I used one of Studio London’s brushes)

> Gluestick (I used a small sized original Pritt stick)

> Beauty blender

> Concealer (I used Rimmel London Match Perfection 005 Ivory)

Now onto the tutorial

Step 1:

First, you do NOT want to put a full face of foundation and powder on. No, instead you will leave that until later. Weird, right? But trust me, it works a lot better and is so much easier when blending later. Instead, you want to grab your gluestick and glue ONLY your eyebrows. To make sure you get every hair of the eyebrow, glue up, down, and side to side. Once you think you have all the eyebrow hairs glued, use your finger to gently stroke them flat.

It should look like this once done:

Step 2:

Wait for the glue to dry, or if you don’t have time to wait speed up the process by fanning it or using a blow dryer on cool heat and light air. Put some foundation on your sponge and lightly DAB the foundation on your eyebrows. Dabbing is essential in this tutorial, so you do not end up rubbing any products off or smudging them. Lightly blend the foundation into your skin around your eyebrows with a beauty blender.

This is what it will look like when complete:

Step 3:

Using your flatheaded brush, gently dab, again dabbing not swiping, your powder on the eyebrows, making sure every inch that was covered in foundation is covered in powder. Try not to use too much excess powder, but some excess is necessary for helping to cover if you have dark brows like myself. Blend it into your skin using the flatheaded brush.

It should look like this:

Step 4:

You may not notice a huge difference between Steps 2 and 3, however do not try to add anymore powder once the eyebrows are covered. Instead, use your concealer and lightly swipe over the eyebrows, making sure you have covered every inch of the eyebrows. A thick layer of concealer is always good to use. After you have covered the eyebrows, go around the edge of the eyebrows to create a box, about 0.5cm away from each side of the eyebrows. Blend this border box into your skin using a beauty blender.

It should look similar to this once completed:

Step 5:

This is where the powder will come in again. Using your flatheaded brush, gently dab the powder over all the concealed part of the eyebrows. If you have dark eyebrows like I do, steps 4 and 5 may have to be repeated a few times. I had to repeat these steps 2 times when covering my eyebrows.

This is what it looks like once this is complete:

Step 6:

This step is where you bring the rest of your face into it. This is where you add your full face foundation and powder. Try to avoid your newly covered eyebrows as best as you can, as this can cause you to smudge the coverage or rub the coverage off. It is completely okay if a little amount comes off! All you need to do is repeat steps 4 and 5 once more to completely cover the eyebrow. Make sure to to blend it into your new face of foundation!

This is what it should look like, compared to how the brow looked before coverage:

Step 7:

This isn’t really a step to coverage as such. But it is now time to draw your eyebrows on! Take your eyebrow pencil, dip, or powder and draw the shape you want. Be gentle though, you wouldn’t want to ruin all this time and effort into covering the eyebrows! You may have to go over your drawn on eyebrow a couple of time to make it stand out how you want it, but do be careful.

I went for a basic Mikasa looking brow. This is the finished result:
