Our first set of tips is from Momo!

1· Expressions & Feelings: The character who's point of view is has the need to express their feelings and expressions. Even if they are poker faced, they will always feel something on the inside. Although they might not show it, you have to put in detail what are they thinking and feeling.

2·Victims: Having more than one target is useful, but killing off everyone you can is not the point when it comes to roleplaying. You got to think on the others, and the plot. It's also good to kill them when they've been roleplaying for a while now, because it's not very fun to be killed at the beginning of the roleplay!

3·The attacker: When they are all innocent, most of people wouldnt. suspect of them. But there are people who target them as the murder/attacker first. You got to keep a balanced personality in order to have less people suspecting of you.

Next is from Mika!

For suspense what I normally do is extend the details. I add more details to hold off longer. Building up is extremely important, use specific details and slowly bring up the subject. I suggest that writers don't subtlety bring up what is being suspended. Personally I want to build up to something big so it helps move the story along.

Jason has some good tips!

Do you know that feeling you get when you are anxious, and on the edge of your seat, feverishly anticipating what could possibly happen next? In literary terminology, such a feeling of anxiety and wonder is most often caused by cliffhangers. The typical lure of nearly any writing style, but especially useful when in of successful, suspenseful writing, the cliffhanger is oftentimes a writer's best friend. It is used to grab the attention of the audience, reeling them in, as the writer decides where he or she wants to take the story. Cliffhangers are a very useful tactic in the art of roleplaying, be it one on one style, or the more inclusive group roleplay, the cliffhanger can benefit both the person who uses it, and the roleplayer who reacts to it, giving the of the roleplay a chance to chart a new path in their story, breath new life into their encounter, or even introduce (or re-introduce) new characters! Cliffhangers heighten drama, and if used effectively, can create positive tension between characters, bringing them together to solve a common problem or reach a certain goal. They can be used to scare, startle, or provoke any intended reaction from the other roleplay, and the best cliffhangers open up a story to new pathways, paving the road for future cliffhangers down the line. So get ready, get set, where will your story go? That's for you to know and your audience to find out!

Our Lit Team Manager Mikasa has some tips for ya!

Get ready for my segment for the post :eyes: :eyes:

Depending on my placement in this post, you've probably already read my fellow lit team ' advice on suspense. Now I tell you mine. For me, pacing and fear play a big part in all of this. You don't want to be too quick, or you'll ruin the whole point of the suspense. You want to give the reader a "what will happen next?" feeling.

As for fear (or whatever feeling the person has), which, as I mentioned, plays a big part in all of this, should be described as much as possible. You want everyone to know how, even if the person is really good at hiding emotions, the person is feeling. It'll really humanise the character and make people feel for him/her too. At least in my opinion.

And that's all I have for you today! I hope these tips will help you better roleplay/write something that includes suspense

Here is how I create suspense!

Personally, I do not write too much stories that include suspense. I used to include many cliffhangers within the stories I wrote when I started out, but now, I try to make sure the reader knows what's going on. I probably should write with more suspense, it causes readers to continue instead of stop reading.

To create suspense, just try to imagine something that would get your heart rushing, 'whats going to happen next??' You have to read to find out!

Ill use Eren as an example. when you watched the anime/read the manga and saw Eren get eaten by a titan? In your mind, you likely were confused, how could the main character die? You had to continue reading or continue watching to find out what happened to him! Then there was a plot twist, you find out that Eren is a titan and all of that craziness, you get the drift. I won't continue talking about that, because this is about suspense, not plot twists.

Either way, you just want to make sure that your reader can't see what's actually going to happen, you need them to be on the edge of their seats as they read what you've written.

And that's the end of our first Lit Team Tips post! I hope you've enjoyed reading, and hopefully you were able to learn something from us!

Thank you for reading, and have a nice day/night wherever you are!

On spot! The key to a Literate Roleplay has always been about description. For example, when Armin watches Eren get eaten, engross yourself into the blonde’s very vessel. Mimic the very emotions that course through his heart. Let the darkness that envelops him, swallow you whole. Feel Eren’s warm blood splatter all over you, without a dreadful wince. Like Armin does. Then, unleash all that in the way of words and the description will be off the charts!

Describe the Titan’s stench from his breath. How the nearby birds erupt into flight, scampering away. How the shine of the sun is more blinding, than guiding. Soon after that, you will be complaining about how you exceeded the line limit. But then again, being a Literate Roleplayer is like being an outlaw. There are no laws to hold you back
