Innocent

- note; so i’ve decided to try something different, and post an OC x CC piece. i am quite nervous about this— but the OC that has been put into play is hakai.

- warning!! spoilers for those who haven’t gotten far in the anime.

”Does it... hurt?”

”Does what hurt, Hakai?”

The dim lighting of an amber flame seemed to have made itself home to the neighboring walls within the trainee barracks.

Without realizing it, Reiner would press her.

Half-lidded eyes set on the coils of her hair— unaware that his own fingers had now taken action to replace their true motive.

On instinct, Hakai pulled away. The feel of his hands in her hair nerved her.. especially if he hadn’t asked beforehand.

Yet Reiner, amongst the others, were always oblivious to her discomfort. His careful fingers managed to burrow its way back into the scalp causing the young girl to frown.

”You never answered me”

He murmured, eyes now fixated on the variation in her skin— thoroughly astonished by the darker pigmentation even if they’d known each other all their lives.

”Does what hurt?”

Somehow, Kushu now lay flush against Braun’s shoulder as both her legs dangled in mid-air.

”Lying, does it hurt?”

”I don’t understand,”

His grip on her hair had now become considerably tight. Nails intricately grasping onto the roots and sharply tugging.

She winced, manually leaning forwards in hopes to ease the pain.

”What are you trying to say?”

Not a sound came forwards in response. Already regretting her decision on bringing this up to him now— possibly bringing it up to him at all.

”Do you think of me as a liar?”

Silence.

The girl bit her lip in correlation with the next few tugs.

”I haven’t lied to you, have I?”

”It has nothing to do with me. I meant towards our— your friends, your comrades.”

Hoping that he hadn’t ed her slip up, Hakai looked to the left of her. Reiner’s gaze steady and unmoving much like the flame before them.

”Pretending to be their ally yet you’re aware of everything that you have done or have yet to do... doesn’t it hurt you?”

He chuckled. Chest evenly rumbling as to make up for the previous actions in the past few moments.

”For example,” she continued. “Jeäger lost his mother due to the attack on Shinganshina— the attack that you three plotted.”

”Sounds like you’re trying to play innocent.”

”Because I am innocent. Unlike you three, I have no blood on my hands, I speak to no one, and I haven’t lied”

”For now.”

Aiming to object, her words would’ve been silenced by the base of Reiner’s palm.

Lips dangerously close to female’s ear whilst he shushed her.

”No one is ever brought into this world to remain innocent. You’re only lucky you haven’t lost yours yet.”
