Ocean Eyes

Those ocean blue eyes were the last thing she ed of the female. Every time she would look at a water source, Ymir would be reminded of the girl she left behind.

There were times when she thought she would forget the button nose, the heart shaped face, the long blonde hair, and the petite form of her friend and lover. Those times — usually giving her nightmares — were the worst in her whole ordeal. It didn’t matter how many times she was yelled at, beat or experimented on. All Ymir Fritz cared about was ing Historia’s face and features and taking that image to the grave.

Historia Reiss read the letter again and again every day since she’d receive it, pouring over the tiniest of details. Was the handwriting rushed, or normal? Was Ymir forced to write this against her will to calm the true ruler of the walls, or did she decide to write it knowing her end was near?

In all honesty, she never thought she’d hear from the freckled brunette ever again. She truly believed Ymir had left out of spite and hatred towards her. But seeing this letter... reading aloud every night for 10 minutes... it changed the way she viewed life. The way she viewed the bond that had appeared between an orphan and an unloved heir.

“I want the military ready to sail across the sea. We’re going to get Ymir back.”
