Oceans of sorrow

The gentle waves beat against the soft sand.

The shells were scattered across the land.

It seemed to stretch on

Forever.

They didn't last forever. And neither will I.

My face was reflected against the freezing water.

Tears ran down my pale cheeks.

"Why couldn't they come back." I mumbled to myself.

I set the key and book in the sand, away from the ocean so not to get damaged. I cover the items with sand once more. As I turned away the wind blew against my face. As I pulled up the crimson scarf, I walked away from my only friends.
