The Secret of the Phoenix (Part 2.)

Part one

The gentle breeze blew against the girl's brown hair as she entered the city. Cheers and clamour was heard as people bought food from the marker and continued on with their everyday lives. Children squealed as they played games. Dogs and cats ran at the children's small feet, begging for attention. Ymir ran her long fingers through her hair, twisting out the tangles she had received from her flight.

As she arrived at the headquarters to the military she heard a shout from the mess hall. Jean and Eren were fighting yet again. Hopefully they would cool it before the expedition tomorrow. The green eyed male would be testing out his shifting ability. He could turn into a beige dragon, with great spikes and horns. Although he could breathe fire at will, it was never recommended. Neither was Eren taking flight, as he could destroy the forest.

Ymir shoved open the door by pressing her shoulder into it. Nicknames and taunting words were thrown across the room as Ymir sat down near Historia, her beloved. The bright girl wrapped her arms around Ymir in a small hug.

"Horse Face!"

"Fire breather!"

"Stupid Bastard!"

The woman groaned and rested her chin on her fist. Might as well watch it go down as Mikasa and Armin frantically tried to solve it. If not, they would both get in trouble with the corporeal. Everyone hated when Levi was angry after all. It would just make the expedition tomorrow more difficult.

They were going to be exploring the forest, most creatures were not very deadly though. Some were poisonous and aggressive through. Other phoenixes and dragons were. Unicorns, like Annie, were normally calmer and a bit more peaceful. Annie had ran away though, and was never seen again after a vicious fight with Eren. They had destroyed about half of the city. The girl was rumored to be dead, or trapped in some sort of crystal-like object.

Levi Ackerman suddenly stomped it, tearing the brown eyed girl from her thoughts. Most people straightened their posture and made to look alert.

"Jäger. Kirschtein. My office now. I'm sick and tired of you two fighting. Especially when we have to leave tomorrow." The short man spoke in sten tone, clearly furious.

The girl's lips twisted into a smirk as they trudged away.

The next morning everyone awoke and put on their uniform. Their green capes strapped to their jackets. A buzz floated around as they mounted horses near the wall. People wished them luck while others grumbled. They hated the idea of leaving safety. A loud rumbling was heard as chains clinked, ri the gate. Erwin shouted loudly as the Scouting Legion rode their way to freedom.
