Autrie signed up for the 105th cadet corps following her brother (Jaques Burness 104th) who followed their father. Her brother dropped out halfway through his first year and she hopes to be stronger than him.

She is quick witted and often speaks whatever may be on her mind (often offending a lot of people) She takes the thrill of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and is a bit of a trouble maker, she loves socialising and is very much the extravert.

As a kid she and her brother were very close and often caused mischief, they were always challenging each other sometimes to the point of bruises but they always forgave each other. Autrie is the kind of person to have faith in karma and won't hesitate to take revenge, on the other hand she can get quite vulnerable to things like heights and spiders, and is often known to give in first, (at least until she takes revenge later on at the next chance).

She takes a lot of Inspiration from her father and hopes to the Survey Corps to justify his death and to show her brother that she can win a fight.

Her and Tourou are childhood friends, ever since her dad gained a promotion in the Survey Corps and left a majority of the time she hung out with her brother and Tourou, they never really got along and we're more like nemisis' than friends BUT none the less they did come back for more shenanigans.
