Saddest Episode

Tales of Ba Sing Sa

So perhaps this cheating because it’s short within and a moment at end that make the scene so sad but honestly while other sad moment even in same episode I be liar if picked one them over Tales of Ba Sing Sa. I should be clear that I referring to the Tale of Iroh but the Tale of Momo is also sad.

What make this short that pull heartstrings. Well for one thing it’s about Iroh. Iroh is easily the most likable and all good person that most people sympathize with him to begin with so something bad happens to him you feel it. What even worse is that until the end you don’t even know that Iroh mourn he son. It seems like normal day he helps out everywhere he goes and is kind and caring even to people trying to him harm.We know Iroh well enough that it’s normal for him act this way so we know that it’s not that writers are focusing sympathy by having him act extra kind. But then he goes to his pinic and we realize that it’s anniversary of his sons birthday who died. As he sings Leaves from the vine we the audience feel for him and crying right along side him.

So it combination be a well like and well written character in a moment that everyone can relate to because everyone has loss someone they love. (If you haven’t you will) To top all off it’s in honor of his voice actor who ed before this episode came out(not sure don’t quote me) So for me the no sadder episode than the Tale of Iroh from the Tales of Ba Sing Sa.
