Hi! I am considering getting a beneficial tankmate when I get my betta. I was considering getting a snail or something similar? Could anyone give me ideas? They will be in a 10 gallon planted tank. Thank you in advance. :)

I had good success with Amano shrimp, but you have to make sure that they've got plenty of places to hide and it's also heavily dependant on the individual betta.
I see it like trying to live in a house cats and dogs. Some dogs are okay with having cats in their house and will be friendly, and some dogs will chase a cat relentlessly no matter what you do
