My Diwali story started with lighting diyas

I placed diyas in various corners of my house.

Then I placed Kundan rangoli that I made at different places in my house. Mainly One in the living room and another near our place of worship.

For sweets we had Kaju Katli

And

Besan ke laddoo made by my mom

Diwali is not just a one day celebration

Preparations start way before when we clean our houses sometimes get new paint. It also believed to be auspicious to buy gold and new household items on Diwali.

Our diwali was a low key. We did our worship

Decorated idols with flowers and offered fruits to deities.

Then we went to my aunt and neighbor's house to give them sweets and good wishes.

This is how long awaited diwali was celebrated in my house which was filled with glory and love.
