I started this book over a month ago, but then exams happened and I had to pause it. I'm currently in chapter 5, and was looking for a way to journal my thoughts on the book.

The story basically tells of a forbidden romance between a British-American prince, and a prime minister. The first four chapters focuses on setting the novel and making us understand what is going on, the leads meet later in the fifth chapter.
Basically, what we know so far is that the first to tenth heir of the throne have been involved in some illegal activities, that has caused them to be stripped of their inheritance. Then Callum, who's the eleventh heir gets brought out of his job in a call center in America to take up the responsibility of possibly being the king in the future.
Then our other main lead is the prime minister of Britain, Oliver Hartwell, he is the first gay prime minister who is a out as queer (in the novel) and he is also a divorcé, he is basically stuck between a rock and a hard place with wanting to help the royal family and also hating on monarchy rulership.
Their first meeting happens in chapter five, immediately after Callum arrives at the royal palace. While trying to impress him, he mutters things awkwardly but is shocked that Oliver known to be cold to the press actually returns his jokes back to him.
My verdict so far:
I feel like there should have been more build up to Callum accepting to be the heir, he basically swore to the Queen that he would make sure to protect the monarchy, minutes after feeling unsure if the position is right for him.
And I also feel like the story is moving too slowly. And I want to use this as an online journal so I have more motivation to read this, and also it would be nice to have a reading buddy but I know this book isn't that popular.
