The next legend. Thoughts.

I’m care you haven’t heard, after nearly 4 months of waiting, we have finally gotten our 1st look at the next legend.

I think we’ll start off by taking about the trailer.

At the start of the trailer, we get a birds eye view of what appears to be a coronation. There is a crowd filled with elves (who are most likely citizens of the Fangwild), and amongs those elves we can see Teros, Munin, Jiro, Jaeyun and Isaiah. Not sure if they have a role to play in her lore or they just put them in for the hell of it.

We then see 2 butterflies fly down carrying a crown. As the butterflies fly, a trail of purple glitter follows them.

The scene then switches to a close up of the crown lowering onto the head of the next legend. As the crown lands on her head she takes a breath before revealing lavender eyes.

I should note something I think a lot of people missed. The next legend is a faun. We can see antlers growing from her head.

And… that’s it.

I mean I can’t say I’m surprised really. We already knew the theme for this legends back in November. We’ve always known it was going to be a Fangwild/royalty themed legend. However something I am quite surprised about is how human she looks. Ok I know that sounds ridiculous, but if I were asked to design the ruler of the Fangwild, I would’ve made something that looks like it has been inheriting the Fangwild for generations. Maybe made her skin blue? However this could be part of her lore. She was a human but went to protect the Fangwild after Ember had left. It’s just like the teaser we got in November: “One guardian’s absence gives rise to another.”

Anyways… I think I might as well predict the legend’s weapons.

I’ve always thought the next combo would be Spear and Greatsword, but I don’t think this legend will be using a Greatsword. Instead, I think it’s going to be Sword and Orb.

As for release date, I’m actually going to say next week. Next week is when the St Patrick’s day even should begin, and to me it would only make sense to drop this new legend in the same patch as the St Patrick’s day stuff. They’ve shown the legend, there’s no point keeping us waiting now.

So that’s all I can say really. Let me know what you think of her. Yeah.
