So I've decided to do the #bodypositivity challenge today, by posting a spread I made a few days ago.
Last week I was in Paperchase and whenever I am in there I love to buy their postcards, I love the selection they have. When I was in The Range I also bought some craft card and paper which I use throughout my journal. When I looked at my haul I wanted to incorporate these two elements and with the post card, a body Positivity post seemed appropriate.

As you can see, on the left hand side are some goals I have set myself. They are quite vague at the moment and can be narrowed down in my separate goals spreads, but these are the elements I know I want to help me maintain a positive attitude towards myself.
On the right is the post card, which I loved because of the quote and the simple gold on black aesthetic. I've bordered the pages with some of the art deco card I bought from The Range.

To give myself more space and use of the post card, I turned it into a flap. This part is currently blank as I want to fill it in over time and in a calm frame of mind when I won't be overly positive or negative. I made a little quote along the top and bottom which is supposed to be motivational and the image of the mirror and the figure (which is extremely distorted because of my abysmal artistry but I left it as I think distortion is part of self-perception). On each side I will use a CBT technique of challenging unhelpful thoughts to increase my body positivity.
The pens used in this spread were a black Tombow dual brush and a gold Papermania metallic pen.
So... There we are, my contribution to the #bodypositivity challenge, thank you for the feature
Happy Journalling!

Definitely, you are right about that. You have to do things when you're ready and committed, otherwise you set yourself up to fail. Take your time and stay true to you and make yourself happy :)

Thank you
Wonderful idea. I love postcards, too, never came up with the idea to hide something behind them. Great inspo :two_hearts:
Thanks, glad you like it. I like to use postcard flaps almost as an alternative to Dutch doors :)
