I started my bullet journal Instagram in late May of this year. I didn’t have much of a goal other than to learn more about Instagram as a platform (I work in digital marketing, so it’s kind of important) and to share my bullet journal with whoever may care. I never imagined I’d experience the kind of growth that my has seen (and I don’t even have a ton of followers in
the scheme of things).
Through this, I learned a lot about Instagram that I didn’t know like hadowbanning, cross platform promotion, creating a cohesive content feed, etc.
I see a lot of people get discouraged or otherwise try to bribe their way into Instagram popularity with bullet journal posts. I think it’s super important to that you shouldn’t let social media get in the way of your life. The amount of likes you get on something isn’t a reflection of your self worth or skill, and if I’ve learned ANYTHING about Instagram, it’s that your luck depends entirely on the algorithm. As cool as it is to have the ability to reach others, at the end of the day ask yourself how it improves your life personally.
Tracking followers is fun, watching your grow is fun, and sure, if you get hit with a shadowban it can be discouraging, but don’t let it stop you from being authentic and true to yourself and your needs :)
Bullet journaling is a journey, that fosters self improvement. Don’t lose sight of yourself in search of approval from others.
We’ve built an amazing community that I’m so grateful to be a part of.
If you feel so inclined (ironically I am aware) to follow my journey feel free to follow on amino or instagram @misfit.plans :kissing_heart:
Stay cool, friends!

Beautiful spread!
Just wondering did you solve the hashtags problem?
You are so right. I was being sbanned multiple times for no reason. I don't even own a business and I didn't use broken hashtags or whatsoever. But screw it, I'm gonna do what I love to do and be happy
Following :) and fantastic post
Great post!
