Favorite Fandom Characters - A Collab | August 2021

Hi everyone! This is myubae and it’s time for another blog! Today, I did a collab with my friend, spreads. This will be her first spread and collab. You have no idea how excited I am for her to try out bullet journaling so please be nice.

A month ago, we talked about doing a collab. We discussed the things we both liked so we can choose a theme. We listed our choices and let a spinner wheel pick a topic for us. The topic we ended up getting was fandoms. We narrowed down the topic a little more and decided to do our 5 favorite fandom characters. It was tough to pick only 5 characters since we both love so many. I will talk about the 5 characters I chose later in this blog. First, I’ll briefly talk about the design of the spread.

I wanted to try doing a Starbucks kind of design spread or do the Starbucks colors of green/white/black. I do not have coffee washi tape so I ended up using my avocado washi tape instead because that’s what I have at the moment. I used black paper to make one of those black chalkboards you see in coffee shops where employees make cute doodles about the menu. That’s the direction I was trying to go for. Then I used a white gel pen to draw out the characters. I lightly went over in pencil first for the rough sketches then I used the white gel pen to draw out the doodles. By each character, I wrote out a little description.

I just want to make this clear. All the characters mentioned belong to their respective creators.

Now I’ll talk about each character in a little more detail.

First up is Sonic the Hedgehog. He’s the video game mascot for SEGA. I first heard of him after watching the anime, Sonic X. Then after watching the anime, I played the video games. My favorite Sonic game is Sonic Unleashed. I loved the music in the game. I chose Sonic because I think hedgehogs are the cutest creatures ever. I also like to run like Sonic.

The next character is Spider-Man. I like him because I like most of the movies. I like all the actors for Spider-Man. It’s tough to pick one. I like the design of his superhero costume. I also enjoyed the 2018 video game on the PlayStation 4. The game is not very hard to play. I like swinging around in the city. I like how the game included the Avengers building. I think that’s cool.

Haida is one of my favorite characters from the anime series Aggretsuko. I like Haida because he’s a loyal friend and a great guy for Retsuko. I wish they got together but I question Retsuko sometimes.

Next up is Saitama from One Punch Man. I find Saitama amusing. Some of the things he does makes me laugh. He wants to become a hero for fun. He is ridiculously powerful from just working out. I find the manga fun to read and the art is wonderful. One of the reasons I’m reading the manga is because of Saitama.

Finally, the last character is from a 1998 television cartoon series called Powerpuff Girls. The character’s name is Bubbles. I used to watch the cartoon when I was younger. I like her because she’s sweet, loves animals, and she’s a cute character. I dres as Bubbles for Halloween when I was a younger kid.
