Hi Guys,

I'm doing a project for university and at the moment, I'm wanting to revolve it around bullet journalling.

Something I've noticed is that, while it was a guy who created the bullet journal system, it has since become quite a "feminine" activity, in that most of the community I've come across are girls and the style of many bullet journals lend themselves towards more traditionally "pretty" designs.

Therefore I would be interested in seeing how many guys in comparison to girls are on this amino, so if you'd participate in this poll I would really appreciate it, just to give me a rough idea of proportion.

Also if any of you know of guys who do use a bullet journal and aren't in this community please do let me know in the comments.

Many Thanks,

Elbee

Disclaimer: this is very much informal research, all I will be examining is the poll bars and the proportion, not who has selected what option etc. Any information is completely anonymous and will only the general trends identified will be used in a market pitch that I have to give in a few weeks time.

Definitely an interesting thought! I feel that because journaling in the common reference is usually considered girly (personal diaries and such) bullet journaling has kind of been seen the same way. It’s COMPLETELY different, especially at its core with the original system. Many of us use it as an artistic outlet as well, but overall it is meant to be an organizational system to keep us on task. It’s useful for anyone, but I feel that what most people see or think of when they hear “bullet journal” is the perfect beautiful artistic layouts, not so much the functionality. So maybe that plays a part in the female preference?

That being said I have seen a few guys using the system too :relaxed: I wish that people would realize that being artistic doesn’t mean “girly” - anyone can make incredible art!
