Hey guys!
I’m going to start a new bullet journal in September. The problem is.... I don’t know which one to choose!
My first ever notebook that I used as a bullet journal is not that good. I’m mostly saying that because it has lines and I feel like that makes me incapable of doodling or stuff like that.
I’m going to be doing my own research, but I would like you guys’ input as well.
I’m looking for a journal that has very good quality paper. Because I want to go crazy with my art supplies and not have the markers bleed too much. That’s really it; I just want a dotted-grid journal with good quality paper.
Thank you for reading and commenting.
Have a lovely day!

I agree with all the comments here already. I have tried recs from youtubers that I follow, but now I just make my own notebooks. I found watercolor paper pads at a discount store and since I already had most of the supplies on hand I made a discbound notebook. It's not lined of course, but I also have a ruler with dots in a gridline and could use that to make my own grids (or possibly print, if I need a whole page of it. Goodluck on your search!
Thank you for your input! I’ll try your method and test how it works with my style
My first bullet journal is pretty good. Although I’m new to bujo, I think it could work for you. It’s a Peter Pauper Press bullet journal with 192 dot pages, size A5. It comes with a ribbon book mark, a rubber band closure, and a pocket in the back! It’s the blue Agate one but there are different ones. I got mine at Barnes & Noble for around $13, but I’m not sure where you live.
i have the essentials dot matrix notebook which is almost an exact dupe of the lechutturm 1917 bullet journal ! the quality of the paper is v good and even has a ribbon book mark and pocket in the back, along with a strap to hold it closed(: Its about $9-13 depending where you get it. i added some pictures and there is also a video on youtube with it being tested for ghosting and whatnot.

Thank you! From what I see, it looks very good! I’ll definitely look more into it  ♀
I think Rhodia and Lemome notebooks/journals have great price/quality ratio. However I find very important to look for the greatest notebook by yourself and I recommend looking for good paper density and find out how many pages you need, because Leuchtturm has a ton of pages but Rhodia and Lemome don't have as many. Good luck with that
Have you seen our notebook wiki?
Yes I have! I’ve just wanted to see other people’s opinions on different notebooks. I’ll be using that, the notebook wiki, and other websites/YouTube videos to pick a notebook that I’ll like.
