Still going with my Disney theme but I’m already feeling theme fatigue :satisfied: :see_no_evil: . Now I know why I never did a theme prior to this month. I know a lot of people have monthly themes in their bujo, it helps give them inspiration and direction for the month. But I feel it’s too restrictive for me. I like to create as I go and I draw what I feel like on the day. But having a theme, I feel pigeon holed.

Who here does monthly themes and why do you like having one?

For this weekly spread, I decided to dedicate it to Merida and the movie Brave. She’s such a strong independent character, it’s hard not to be inspired by her. Also she walks around with a bow, what can be more awesome than that :joy:

I tried a Pooh theme for November. Before that I only stick to floral theme so there's no restriction at all. I think having a theme for a month has its pros and cons. Like what you said at first, I feel it does give me a clear direction where to start. Towards the end I wanted some changes but I don't want to divert from the theme so it sort of restricts me as well.

Thank you so much :kissing_heart: :heart: ! I’m the same, I have a running floral theme in my journal but decided to do a theme this month because it was my second last month in my current journal. I thought ‘what the hell, let’s just stick to this Disney theme’. Kind of regret it now :joy:

I love Merida. By far my favorite Disney character.

I tried monthly themes a few times But I also feel restrained. Halfway the month I am bored and want to draw something else. So I keep My bullet journal chaotic, Just like Its owner. :wink:

:joy: :joy: my bujo is quite chaotic also as I don’t really have a true theme. However I sort of have a running floral theme throughout which keeps it sort of cohesive :satisfied:
