I think your work is amazing with just a little colour, sometimes less is more and too much colour can over power. I do add colour to mine, but I don't draw. Lol
Aww thank you so much! I love the look of monochrome spreads as well as colourful spreads, so I try to combine the two. But I do agree that sometimes too much colour can overpower the overall look
Im always of the vote of a good mix. Like, a sort of colorful background that makes the black/ monochrome tones pop in an art piece. But thats dependent on what your theme is.
I don’t really have a theme in my bujo. Probably florals is the running theme that I stick to the most. I’m not good with colour but trying to introduce more colour to my spreads. Also colour is hard work and time consuming :joy:

Haha I’m not very good with colour, hence why most of my spreads are monochrome with a splash of colour :see_no_evil: :joy:

Both, honestly. Monochrome allows for incredible detailing, while colourful can really make it pop. :)
I agree, both have their advantages and disadvantages
