Hallå all! I hope you're ready for our chatroom event tomorrow for World Kindness Day! Because I sure am!
So, for my #mhcrandomactofkindness I focused on civic duty. Voting is a big deal to me and my family as a whole, so I get out and make my voice heard whenever possible.
So, let me show you my spread!
The quote is by former president Barack Obama.
"Your job as a citizen and as a decent human being is to constantly affirm and lift up and fight for treating people with kindness and respect and understanding."
That means, you always fight for the rights for those with less than you, like minorities and marginalized peoples, the poor and the sick, children and the elderly. You treat them with respect, kindness, and dignity.
Below, I wrote my own little piece about kindness as it pertains to voting, and it goes thus:
"To treat others with kindness, you need to make sure everyone is on the same page. To have laws that care for others like schools for education; hospitals + insurance for health care; police + fire + ems departments; and so much more like the freedom to live safely and happily. My kindness for the MHC KINDNESS CHALLENGE is that I voted for my midterm elections, on behalf of my two friends who cannot.
And, of course, I put the hash tag #mhcrandomactofkindness the date of the election, November 6th, and my voting sticker.
A really simple, but powerful spread.
