The Feud of Two Kings [CHAPTER 4]

Chapter 4: A Fake Identity

The blue king lazily strolled into the the central planning room. He quietly took his seat at the head of the table and waited for the ten master planners to cease their conversations.

"Alright," he said, "As I mentioned his morning, we only have three days till the big war against the red king. Have we made any progression on how exactly we are going to approach this war. Weapons? Knights? Strategy?

"Sir," said the planner sitting opposite the king, "at this point in time our knights and princes are training their very hardest to prepare. They are spending every spare moment training as well as the attending the intensive training."

"Great!" Replied the Blue King. "Any other news?"

"Actually, yes we have sir," started one of the other planners, "we believe we may have a secret weapon."

"Ohh, tell me more!"

"Well Sir, yesterday one of our scouts came back from their day out and said that they stumbled across a cave."

"Ok, and what's so special about said cave?"

"Well, he said that within the cave he could hear a very mysterious grumble and a bright light was emitting from the cave. Upon walking towards the cave, the scout said that when he peered in, he smelt smoke.

"Ok, what exactly are you getting at here?"

"Well, we've been speaking to the other scouts about it and we have come to the conclusion that what was in that cave was a dragon."

"A WHATTT..?"

"A dragon, sir. A fire breathing dragon."

"Is there any way we could get it for ourselves?"

"Well actually, yes. The scouts believe they may be able to tame it and that it would give us the upper hand on the red king."

"Good, when can we go capture it?"

"Tomorrow, sir. Tomorrow at 7am is when the scouts will head off in attempts to capture it."

"Perfect. I'm sure we'll be able to beat the red king using this so called dragon. Meeting closed."

The king stood up and walked out of the room. However what he didn't see was one of the planners sneakily running off in the opposite direction of the others. He continued strolling the opposite way, attempting not to make eye with anyone and when he was out of sight, he whipped out his walkie-talkie and tuned into the channel.

"Hello?" He whispered.

"Hello," grumbled a voice on the other side.

"You need to tell the Red King that the Blue King may be getting a secret weapon soon. Apparently they have found a dragon that could tear our armies apart."

"Alright, there's only one problem. The king was ambushed earlier today and nobody knows what happened to him."

"Wh-What does that mean?"

"He and a few other knights were ambushed earlier. We have sent search teams out but a lot of us are concerned we won't have a King to lead us into battle."

"Ok, I'll keep gathering infor- I think I hear someone coming, I have to go."

He quickly disconnected from the channel, put the walkie-talkie back into his coat and dashed away.
