Book two:
Aster hears about their marriage and asks where she comes in, Mother says she has to continue listening and then gets side tracked and saw that it was late in the day and that Aster has to eat. She pouts and exits with a huff. Troy again asks if she’s alright, she says no and explains about her parent’s story. Troy is taken aback and asks if they are still alive. Aster says she doesn’t know but she will find out later.
That night she asks Mother again if she could understand her parents. The same process goes, she gets up early, Mother invites her into her office, so on. Mother left off of Victoria’s arrest and says that she was saved by Lelouch and his crew. Then explained the plot for the series and ending for that.
Book three:
Mother stops the story again to feed the children. Aster is quiet for once and Tory wonders if she finally found out the truth. Aster shook her head and says that something wasn’t right, that there was more to the story she felt like. Maybe her parents were out there and maybe they were protecting her from something. Troy says that she needs to realize that some parents just don’t need children and tells her to drop it. The two argue for a while before Aster stamps away. Mother seeing this goes to comfort her.
Aster asks Mother what happened to her parents. Then Mother explains the evil goddess of time and how her mother wanted Aster in a safe place away from her and that her father, Lelouch, was still out there fighting that evil dignity. Aster says that she wants to help too, but Mother yelled at her saying that her mother wanted her to be alive. Not to be hurt. Aster is angry again and says that maybe she should die. She brings up that not a lot of foster parents wanted her for her hyper self. Mother says that she’ll find the right ones later on, even if it takes a while.
Troy then gets adopted by a rich family. He says bye to Aster and she confesses that she sort of liked him through the years. Tory blushes and says that he did too. Then he left to not be seen again. Aster cries and goes to the girl’s room. Mother goes to her and says that it’ll be alright. Aster says that Troy, someone she cared for, was gone and now she’s alone again. That’s when there was a call for Mother down stairs. She excuses herself from Aster and goes.
To only return with a smile that someone wanted to meet Aster. She slowly goes and sees a man with light black hair and violet eyes, someone like her but way taller. The man goes to her level asking if she is named Aster, she says yes. The man smiles and tells Mother that he wants to adopt her. She agrees saying that she would be happy if he told her the truth. The man frowns but quickly smiles again, saying got Aster to get her things and that they’re going home.
When they do go home, it is out in the open. No city life or cars roaming the area. Aster smiles and twirls around in the wind happy and free, at last she found someone who would love and care for her. That’s when the man reveals himself that night that his name is Lelouch and that her mother Victoria is a permanent goddess for eternity. Aster gets upset and asks when she’ll visit, Lelouch says that she’ll come soon. As he says that a reflection of Victoria is seen in the window before the book comes to a close.
