Tis the year that Crash Fever celebrates its 3rd Anniversary with everyone on it. So how was the event? Was it worth it? What did we get out of it? Those are the question I came to present, at least from my views, so opinions ahead.
Firstly, the events:
So many events had led us to this 3rd year, as listed in the 3rd anniversary year video by the official youtube channel as well as Instagram and Facebook (If you use them). I find it funny and strange that the Ozman Incident, Black Grounds, Hidden myth, as well as the Chuthulu Mythos never made the road to 3rd anniversary. Odd for the mythos since that was pretty popular for some time. I never took part in the Ozman Incident so I can't say it should be in there. Black Grounds is also pretty popular from what I saw.
Now granted all of these events weren't completely ignored, since there are the Travel Units as well as the Worldwide Hatcher and October Hatcher featuring Zodiac (or Astro) Units and Chaotic Units, as well as Tom Sawyer and Huck being 3rd anniversary units by using anniversary medals. But this is the 3rd anniversary, should they at least have a dedicated milestone to them? I think so, but then again, the hatchers were never the greatest, nor has the Black Grounds and Cuthuluquest ever been generous with difficulty (Excluding the Story line quest for Black Grounds that allows you to follow the story without needing the unit).
Enough about what should be in it, what did we get out of it?
Well, a lot despite the shit 30x hatcher everyday. There was some good events as well as the famous Benedict and Mozart bursting onto the scene. But those took the spotlight in of units, ratings were very garbage since they are below 5%. The return of the False Tower brung back Wang with a high 7%, way better than the 3% of getting either Chopin or Mozart without guarantee. Another thing to note is the ability to do some exclusive work quests and access to Color Hazard and Wizards/Ultimates/Specters/Omega. This was a nice gesture, but kinda did nothing other than allowing people to grind, which isn't bad, but felt kinda useless to those who don't need them.
Polygons were either used or saved depending on what the people want. I used all of mines and currently waiting for the free 500 from the challenges. Of course, if you grind each week you can earn a hell of a lot of medals. These medals were pretty useful and was probably the only thing people cared about other than the events. I mean think about, a wide selection of cost 60 units as well as materials for the QUEENs, and the magical ticket of the 65 cost unit. The luck scratch is garbage as fuck but gave some medals througout the day. Missions were probably your best bet.
So that laid out the things that the anniversary had, what are my opinions on it?
Best possible outcome: It was fine, possibly good even with the events. Was an act with good intention but could be better
Worst possible outcome: Was a greedy attempt to steal more money by using packs as a mean to propel the event.
I stand on a fence. Sure it was a good event, but it kinda sucked and used packets for means of money, since exclusive units from past events were up for grabs. It's hard to say, maybe more toward negative? But it would be lambasting the company.
Bonus:
Units I acquired through the 3rd anniversary
