Phosphosiderite is a rich red to purple mineral, lnamed after its composition, mainly being a Phosphate and the Greek word, sideros, for iron.

Avoid storing near moisture or in humid environments.

There is some speculation that it is a variety of Variscite, but as yet this information has not been substantiated.
