The Doom Slayer is a guy avenging his pet bunny, AND he was a marine sent to mars. As far as I know, he wasn’t “trapped” in hell either (please correct me if I’m wrong).
After DOOM 2 he destroyed demons in hell until they got sick of him and trapped him in the DOOM 4 sarcophagus, where the UAC from a paralell universe found him.
Edit: that's what lore videos on youtube told me at least

The demons trapped him in a sarcophagus, not in hell. He went there because he wanted to.
Technically the Revenants aren't artificial, they were affected by the Lazarus Waves, like the Possessed, but they were volunteers for the Revenant Program, which I believe used a different strain of the wave
Yes. They are artificial because they volunteered and the armor they're wearing isn't "hell-made/natural" like other armored demons. It's human made.
