I laugh as you mess up

Cackling as I go

Was it my help you wanted?

You must be the fool

And yet you still stuck around

As you foolishly struggled

Pleading for me

For you I could only offer a shrug

Still the same fool as yesteryear

And yet you still stuck around

All the smiles you gave

Had suddenly begun to fade

I still didn't care

Even if the fool had lost their mother

Maybe you shouldn't stick around

But one day it came

The day I needed help

Yet you were nowhere to be found

And I was all alone

Maybe I was the fool all along
