pride month time!

hey hey hey!

(it's been so long since i've posted wtf and this is like really late)

anyways, it's june so that means time to show your lgbt+ pride!

and that also means an increase in pride content, which will not change with this blog post.

but! let's see what you're getting into!

each character will have a moodboard with their flag(s) and a couple of headcanons to go along with that, though not all will have to do with their identity/coming out

evan hansen

·comes out pretty early with both parents being accepting

·gets everything sort out pretty early on, too (some money from his college fund being put towards his transition)

·heidi suggests the name evan, but being named after his dad is entirely evan's idea

·all of this mostly comes before evan's relationship with his dad sours (even after, he insists keeping it partially because he doesn't want to go through the mess of changing his name, and partially because he still feels like the name fits)

jared kleinman

·he starts thinking about his sexuality in middle school, but doesn't come across the word pansexual until sophomore year in high school

·internalized homophobia is a big thing in his life until the beginning of his freshman year of college when he starts actually dealing with it, along with other things

·when he does come out, evan, heidi and his mother are ive, while his father is more on the hesitant side (he gets there eventually)

·he and evan try out a relationship in college (between freshman and sophomore year), eventually deciding to take it further (the wedding is small but neither of them wanted anything else; jared was also way more emotional than anyone but don't tell)

connor murphy

·prefers he/him and masculine

·he doesn't really come out, but he does have a bracelet and a pride flag (he wears the bracelet often and the flag is hanging above his desk)

·zoe asks about it once a little after their relationship starts to sour, but he just pushes her away and tells her it's none of her business (this is before she completely loses her faith in his recovery)

·he has very subtle dysphoria, mostly around his hair (which is partially why he keeps it long) and height (which he knows he can't do anything about)

·he loves skirts, especially really flowy ones, but he only wears them every once in a while when he feels worse than usual

zoe murphy

·she doesn't really come out to her family either, but she does have both a demi and a pan pin on her backpack

·alana is the first person she actually tells, and then she comes out to zoe in turn

·tbh i don't have very many hc's for zoe about her sexuality but

·she does dance until her sophmore year of high school when she s band

·her and alana start a queerplatonic relationship around the time zoe graduates

alana beck

·she discovers asexuality sometime in middle school and it instantly clicks with her

·her parents don't really understand it but they still try to be ive (which is to say that they don't try learning about it, but they also don't pester her about that side of things either)

·zoe is the first person to know outside of her family

·zoe gives her an ace pin the next time they meet and alana definitely cries a little

·(also! alana is the one to propose after they both graduate from college and they move in together and adopt a bunch of dogs and they live happily ever after bc i said so)
