i always thought it would work as the next song after words fail because it would be cynthia’s reflection of connor after the truth hits and where heidi decides to step in to say something to evan. but what’s ur opinion and why?

I think I read somewhere it was supposed to be instead of to break in a glove
According to my mom, it would have gone in the place of break in a glove.
wait whose your mom
I believe that it was supposed to be after for forever!
Personally I feel it would fit perfectly right after Requiem
The lights dim a moment, then go back up softly on Connors room, Cynthia sitting on his bed with the letters.
She clutches the sweater, sings her bit, then you have more lights up on heidi in her scrubs, perhaps with a box on a table. She pulls out each item as she sings about it.
Song goes on. Lights dim on heidi near the end and ends with Cynthia in the room alone. Then lights down.
No clue why but I can see this pretty vividly
oh definitely!
I know this was a few days ago but can I like-
Use this for a screenplay I’m writing-

Hell yeah!
There's a scene where Heidi finds out about the Connor project and Evan tells Heidi that he and Connor were friends. It's the first time in the show where Heidi and Evan fight. At the end of the scene Heidi apologizes, saying she felt bad for not knowing, then Evan leaves. I think In the Bedroom Down the Hall was right after that. Also in the scene Heidi said she was taking the night off work to talk to Evan. So after Evan left that night Heidi would have time to walk down the hall and think about Evan when he was younger. Also this scene in the show is the first scene where Heidi gets into the plot. So it would make sense to give Heidi this intense song right after she becomes important, so the viewer knows that this isn't the last time she is going to be important later. Another thing, after the fight Heidi would probably feel guilty. In the song Heidi sings about how she would do anything to make him happy. Anything at all. She probably feels guilty.
Also I don't think this song came after good for you. At the end of good for you Heidi is yelling. She doesn't seem to feel guilty. It would be weird to put a song where she feels bad for someone right after a song where she yells at that someone.
I could talk more about this, but this is already pretty long. Also I could totally be wrong.

I’m p sure it was gonna show both Heidi wishing she was closer to Evan and was going to go deeper into how Cynthia missed Connor, tho I’m p sure they said they cut it cuz there would be too many sad ballads in the musical or something like that
Reply to: I Brought You My Bullets
pfft. that’s a terrible reason to cut it

I mean I kinda like that they cut it, I don’t think that, as a musical, it needs any more sad heartfelt ballads than it already has
