As Raven entered the office, she then sees the same woman from the posted ad by the name of Emma Frost-Stark, Who looks her up and down whilst her elbows rest on the office table, her forearms lifted off of the table with her hands clasped together as she is leaned forward. Raven then turns her head, making eye with the artist that needs a manager, which is why Raven is here.

"You may be seated Ms Darkhöme." Emma speaks as she points at an empty seat across from herself, her tone serious enough to be professional but not threatening.

"Oh- of course. Sorry." Raven speaks, nervousness that wouldn't need telepathy to understand. She then reaches to get her information, letting go of the tight invisible hold on her heart in a simple sigh. Raven hands over her papers to Emma, who takes it and reads it.

Raven sits back and holds her hands together on her lap, straightening her posture as she watches Emma look over her application form. Erik eyes focused on her as he stared, feeling that something is different about the blonde that had recently entered the room.

“Why am i here? Am i even needed?”

Emma's eyes moves in Erik's direction as she notices his thoughts, feeling the annoyance mixed with boredom, practically a glowing white to the otherwise neutral grey of his usual thoughts. Emma then turns her head to face Erik, giving him all of her attention.

“You have to be here. If she gets hired then she'll be your manager Erik. You know your opinion is needed right now.”

Erik sits up from leaning against the table once he realized that Emma had just read his mind. Not only that but she had replied to him. Erik rolls his eyes at Emma's words.

“You'll just hire whoever like you've done before.”

“Obviously, I've hired you so you know how true that is.”

Erik huffs, rolling his eyes again. Amusement evident as a small smile spreads across his face. He chuckles in his head, enjoying the small banter between the two, though he wouldn't it it and neither would Emma. Erik knows her well enough to know that she wouldn't.

Emma starts to read Raven's mind, trying to assess that Raven is there with pure intentions, to see if she genuinely wants to work with Erik. To work for Emma and grow Erik's career.

After Emma thinks to herself for a moment, she speaks.

"Your hired. I expect and rely on you to keep Erik's image the way it needs to be. To keep everything running smoothly here. Can you do that?" Raven can sense the consistency in Emma's tone as well as the look in her eyes being almost a glare. Raven swallows her spit, fixing herself to be as confident as she usually is.

"I'll do just that and more Mrs Frost. Thank you." Raven says. Her eyes changes from a greyish blue to a yellow shade. This very thing doesn't go unnoticed by Erik, who furrows his brows in disbelief. He stops said expression not long after doing it.

"I'll count on it." Emma says, the corners of her mouth rises slightly as she holds her hand out. Raven then shakes her hand.

*a few minutes later*

Erik power walks around the corridors of the building, looking for his new manager. His goal to confront her about what he had just seen seems to be difficult as he can't find her.

“Where is she?”

His thoughts fueled by his frustration of having to look around more than he already had in order to find her. He wants to leave it alone, to move on. But he needs to find her, he needs to see that she is like him, Emma, and Alex. He needs to see if she'll agree with letting him release music to help people like them. To know that she's like them.

Erik is pulled from his thoughts as one of the workers at the company is walking near him. Believing that the person might know who she is, he stops them.

"Hey, do you know a girl with long blonde hair and greyish blue eyes walking around here?"

The person raises an eyebrow at Erik but then the express changes from confusion to understanding, believing that he's looking for someone to date.

"Yeah, let me look for their number." The person grabs their phone, unlocking it to type in the number of someone they had met a week ago.

Erik exhales, noticing how he had been holding such breath for a while. He feels relief flowing through his blood same as the iron, in which he can control.

"***-***-****. That's her number." The person speaks, catching Erik's attention once again.

"Thank you." Erik answers coldly. Not wanting to add to say more but wanting to still show appreciation. He then types it into his phone but before calling, he is interrupted by the same person.

"Hey! Don't call her right now! She's working and can't answer the call!" The person tells Erik, whom listens and instead decides to text her.

Erik: "Hey, I wanna ask If you're what I think you are since I've seen you today. Please reply to this and talk to me."

Erik sends the message to the number then places his phone back into his pocket. He then looks at the person.

"Thank you again." Erik says.

"Anytime." The person replies and walks away.

Erik goes to get some food from the cafeteria. Not wanting to think any further about the theory of his new manager being a mutant. Feeling as though she'll reply whenever she's ready.

Charles pov during the time-

°•°

Charles arrives at Garden's daycare to pick up Kurt, who he didn't have to look for as once he went inside, he was instantly greeted by Kurt, which Kurt had teleported to his dear uncle.

"Uncle Charles!" Kurt says with enthusiasm for Charles.

"Kurt. How's your day been?" Charles replies, adding a question as he kneels on one knee to be at Kurt's level. Giving the little blue five year old mutant a hug, which is happily returned.

"It was great! Mein freund and i had played with building blocks and shared snacks!" Kurt answers Charles's question as he jumps, breaking up the hug. Kurt's tail swings in excitement as he smiles wide.

"That's great. And who's your friend? Is he unique like you are?" Charles asks.

"Yes, he has wings! His name is Warren." Kurt's excitement grows as he turns his upper body slightly. Pointing at a boy who looks like he could be an angel, and to Charles, he is. Just as every other child is.

"Oooh, I'm so happy that you've made friends Kurt. A sweetheart like you is someone no one can not be friends with." Kurt's eyes lit up more as he comprehended the compliment Charles had just given him.

"Thank you uncle Charles." Kurt says. Though Charles cannot see any trace of pupils or irises in Kurt's eyes, he knows that the little one has his puppy dog eyes on display. But it's love for him instead of anything otherwise.

Charles picks Kurt up and holds him as they leave. Saying their goodbyes to the other parents and the daycare staff with Kurt saying his goodbyes to his classmates.

Charles then puts Kurt in a car seat in the middle seat and buckles him up. Which the click of the buckle makes the little toddler giggle. Charles then closes the back car door and gets into the vehicle, now heading to Rogue's school.

-

Charles arrives and sees that Rogue is waiting outside. Once she spots him, she runs to the his car and gets in, not forgetting to hug him once she does.

"Uncle Charles. How was your day?" Rogue says. Asking Charles a question after breaking up the hug.

"It's been good, but how was school?" Charles replies.

Once he had asked Rogue about her day, she suddenly went quiet and her smile slowly sank. Very much unaware that her sudden mood change is worrying Charles that something could have happened. He opens his mouth to ask but he notices that she has turned her body slightly to face the window as rain droplets race each other down the window, which Rogue seem to enjoy watching.

Charles thought about asking, wanting to know. But he decides not to pry as he knows that Rogue trusts him enough to tell him whenever she'd want to talk about her day. All Charles know is that he'll be by her side to her.

"Uncle Charles, can we stop to get something to eat?" Kurt asks. His stomach growls just after he asks.

"Sure, anything you want." Charles answers. The corners of his mouth slightly lifted.

Charles stops at a fast food restaurant and buys food for his family. Waiting to eat at the house.

-

After eating, Charles then grabs some fruit and gives it to his niece and nephew as well as having some himself, wanting to balance the fast food with healthier food.

Soon enough, Charles gets a text message. He picks up his phone while chewing on a piece of an apple whilst he's seated in a chair next to the couch where Rogue and Kurt is sat and watching TV.

Unknown: "Hey, I wanna ask If you're what I think you are since I've seen you today. Please reply to this and talk to me."

Charles looks at his phone, confused about what he had just read. He then looks at Rogue and Kurt, trying to see what they're doing.

"Marie, I need you to keep an eye on your brother. Can you do that for me??"

Charles asks telepathically, holding his index and middle finger to one of his temples.

"I don't mind." Rogue answers, holding her brother in her arms as he sleeps while he's simultaneously hugging her.

Fatigue gets to Charles as he walks through the hallway and arrives at his room. Entering the bedroom, Charles closes the door and sits down on his bed.

He then reaches for his phone and opens the message. Typing a reply.

Charles: "Who are you and what do you mean? I've never seen you before."

Charles hits 'send' and then puts his phone on his nightstand. Turning onto his back, he stares at the ceiling, wondering what he could do next for his menu.

Having heard many of his usual customers talking about how his bakery has had the same menu for ten years now, expressing that it'll be nice for him to change something about the menu that he's grown accustomed to, recipes that offered him a nice, sweet, peaceful haven. One that he's never had before.

“Should I change my menu now? Even though it has so many beloved pastries”

Charles thinks to himself, unsure of what to do next. Soon, he falls asleep with the thought lingering in his mind. Worried about the possible outcome of whichever decision he would make.
