Ethan Imagine

So this is for the Ethan Ladies. I wrote it in about an hour out of boredom. Enjoy :heart:

You and Gray hadn't been together long, only about a month, but you already knew it wasn't working. He would make those stupid jokes about other women, as if they were better than you. Comparing you to them. You hated it, and you almost hated him.

His brother, however, was as sweet as can be. When he went out with you and Grayson, he always made sure to walk beside you, while Grayson walked ahead. He would console you when you felt ugly compared to those other girls. In fact, he made you feel beautiful. More than Gray ever could.

You refused to act on the small crush you'd developed for Ethan. You were dating his brother after all, even if it didn't feel like that at times. But the night Gray cheated on you with some other girl was the night you left. It was official. You were done.

You ran from the party you'd found the pair tangled together at, not realizing that Ethan was following after you until you heard him call your name. You turned, confused, thinking it was Gray, though their voices do differ at times. "Ethan?"

He nodded, his curls bouncing atop his head. Even in the dark of the night street, you could see the streak of purple framing his face. "Are you alright?"

You felt your head shake immediately, not really as alright as you'd have liked to it. "Gray...he was in there with, with another girl..." You felt the familiar sting of tears, the water brimming and ready to fall.

Ethan didn't seem too surprised, sighing as he stepped towards you. He caught sight of your tears and took a step towards you immediately, a hand stretched out to wipe them away. You learned into his touch as his thumb brushed under your eye and into your hair.

"He doesn't know what he's missing," Ethan whispered down to you, his voice soft like the hand that held you together. "Honest," he muttered, his hot breath fanning across your face.

Before you could inch closer, something flickered across his face and he backed away. Shaking his head, his hand dropped from your cheek. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have touched you. I just..." He shook his head again, the curls bouncing like springs beneath a mattress.

Just as he began turning away, you stepped forward, grasping for his wrist. His dark eyes found yours over his shoulder, his lips held in a tight grimace. "I'm sorry," he muttered again.

"Ethan," you said softly, his name hanging between you two like a puff of smoke. "Do you see me pushing you away?"

He shook his head, his lips quirking up slightly at the edges. Turning to fully face you again, he removed your hand from his wrist and interlocked your fingers with his. "Is this okay?" He asked gently.

Your head shook 'No' immediately, because it wasn't exactly what you wanted. His smile fell, and he sighed, his chest falling and his shoulders slumping. Before he could pull away from you, your feet moved you forward, closing the distance between your bodies until you could press your lips to his.

You had to raise yourself upon your toes to reach him, but by the time he realized what was happening, he was already winding his arms around your waist, drawing your feet right off the ground. Pressed against his chest, your hands on his shoulders, you could really only feel his lips on yours.

Soft as silk, they pulled back to take in a harsh breath, leaving you chuckling between gasps. "I'm sorry," he said quietly, dropping you to the ground.

"What? Why?" You couldn't understand how Ethan could apologize after lifting you up to Cloud Nine, but the sky smirk that dominated his lips a moment later made your heart skip a beat.

"Im sorry for not doing that sooner."
