KoG Deck March 2023

Hello everyone and yup it's that time again to post another one of my KoG decks (ik I miss some months, but I did that for a reason. Reason: lazy/deck used). Also no this is sadly not vamps, I did my best with vamps but no matter what for me it just didn't work (no matter deck.size, build, etc), but I did use a deck that doesn't see that much play anymore and that deck is none other than Buster Blader. Buster Blader is a deck that I actually do like, but stopped playing for some time and just playing it again reminded me how much I actually like it. Anyways let's get into it.

The skill just helps you get Whelp when needed since it's the only level 4 or lower monster in the deck.

Decklist Breakdown

Main Deck

Whelp

Whelp is your searcher and tuner monster to either set up your plays or to combo off with on the other turns. Whelp can basically search all of the BB cards in the deck (BB himself, Karma, and Memories). Whelp has 2 other effects which is basically tributing itself to summon Buster Blader from your grave or resummoning itself by discarding a Destruction Sword card from the hand. Which these 2 effects either help with your plays or to OTK.

Buster Blader

This Buster Blader is used over the normal Buster Blader due to it being able to be searched with Whelp. Also this cards effect to attach a monster that is destroyed by battle or card effect and equip 1 to it can be useful every now and then because the destruction effect it has as well, but you don't really use the destruction effect all that often.

Pot of Duality

Pot of Duality simply just helps you add either Whelp to hand to set up your plays or to add more techs to the hand.

Mystical Space Typhoon

Mystical Space Typhoon is just backrow removal simple enough.

Karma

Karma is a great spell card in Buster Blader because it banishes up to 3 monsters with the same type from the grave and also gives your Whelp or Buster Blader plus 500 atk/def for each monster banished. It can also be recycled as well by discarding a Destruction Sword card.

Ring of Destruction

Ring of Destruction is a funny card in Buster Blader because of the fact that when it goes off and destroys the opponents monster it does LP damage to both you and your opponent, but the funny part is that it can be an advantage for you because if the damage was at least 1k or more then on your turn even if the opponent didn't do any LP damage to you then you can still activate your skill.

Ice Dragon's Prison

Ice Dragon's Prison is just a tech that's useful in almost any deck because it basically can kill your opponents turn or just shorten their strategy a lil. It's also one of the better techs in the game and does help give you an advantage sometimes.

Compulsory Evacuation Device

Compulsory is one of the better techs in the game just like Ice Dragon's Prison. I know just by the description it doesn't seem like it does much, but that one bounce can literally make a difference in winning or losing sometimes.

Destruction Sword Memories

Destruction Sword Memories is the way you summon Buster Blader or fusion summon for your boss monster Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman. This card is also searchable with Whelp.

Extra Deck

Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman

Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman is your boss monster like I mentioned previously. When he is on the field any Dragon monster the opponent controls all get forced into defense and they can't activate their effects. He also gains 1k atk/def for each dragon in the grave or on the field.

Vermillion Dragon Mech

Vermillion is a decent synchro to have so that you can pop cards your opponent controls (monsters or backrow)

Cyber Slash Harpie Lady

Cyber Slash Harpie Lady is also a nice/decent Synchro for Buster Blader because like we all know when a spell/trap is activated you can use Cyber Slash's effect to bounce a monster to the hand.

Scrap Dragon

Scrap Dragon just like Vermillion is a decent Synchro for Buster Blader because it can also pop a card your opponent controls as well.

Buster Dragon

Buster Dragon is the most important Synchro in your extra deck because when it's on the field it turns every monster on the opponents field into dragon types which will help out your boss monster with a boost to it's atk. Buster Dragon can also special summon Buster Blader from your grave, but you can't control another "Buster Blader" tho.

Link Disciple

Link Disciple is just here for the Iblee lock
